As for the dyno sheets provided, are those with stock cats on or test pipes? What mods were done other than the 18g MHI kit?

The new MHI kit will get the new manifold. We have made some revisions to the design you see above for it to work with the 2013 car. The same manifold will be able to accept not only the MHI turbos, but the Garrett ball bearing T25 plus turbine housings as well as the regular Garrett turbos we have been using.

As for the dyno graph, the car that the 18g was tested on has our 3" exhaust and downpipes. The 16g car was tested on factory exhaust and cats as well as an aftermarket 2.5" cat-back exhaust.

Are the 16g dyno sheets for both factory exhaust/cats and 2.5"/cats posted anywhere? I'd like to see....

This is Such a Noob question (so flame suit is on) but from experienced FI users whats the difference between these turbos and ball bearing turbos?? im confused as to how these turbos make about the same whp to the other turbos gtm sells that are more expenssive. i believe its the Garrett turbos i think that are the expenssive ones not really sure but yea can i have some feedback because i am interested on these and could just call and pay in my lunch break.

p.s: my 370z is an 7A/T, forgot to put that in there. and can the 7A/T hold on the 18G or just STRICTLY 16G?

So does anybody make test pipes that 'look' like they have cats? I need to pass a visual inspection in NC lol

Doubt you will find anyone who sells them, best bet is to take your TP and have a shop cut up a set of factory cats and weld them onto the TP to 'look' like OEM.

Ha that's what I was considering doing actually. Sounds so ghetto but it could be worth it. I might just get some test pipes and roll the dice for now and hope they don't pay much attention.

Or take your OEM cats and knock the cats out of them. Wear a respirator.

Test pipes are cheap enough ;) I'd like to have the stock cats intact in case I ever need them.

I did this when I was a young buck. JB Welded stripped cats around off-road pipes and then painted the "welds" silver. Passed visual inspection. :roflpuke2:

Gutted cats are free and look like you've still got cats. ;)

so by what it says ball bearing turbos Spool faster and gets you More Optimized performance then.....so really there isnt a difference just the mere fact one is more improved than other? and do journal turbos cause lag or maybe i misunderstood that on the description i read??

I want the SC 1.5, however, $1700 almost buys a clutch, radiator, and an oil cooler. I will be closing the deal tomorrow when they open.
