i thought the R&D was done!!

I believe they have said it is done, but there are other things they must line up.
Remember they want this to be an off the shelf kit, which means keeping plenty of stock for next day shipping. If they don't have the manufacturer ready to handle the load or volume it will fail.

Ok people...... chill! GTM has some things to get lined up. There good to go but takes time to get all parts stocked. There probably making enough for 100 kits. One thing about GTM is its going to be right and its going to be the best! Period. Sam makes sure of it!

I wish I already had it in my hands. I'm impatient as it comes. But greatness will prevail. With that said, hurry up GTM.:bowrofl:

sam/mike,

a lot of quite interesting functionality are being discussed in regards to EcuTek on another thread, I was wondering if you can opine, confirm, or give more details on EcuTek's capabilities. simply, what are the advantages/disadvantages of using EcuTek instead of UpRev to tune this kit? thanks..

Totally wrong thread man, I would just make a new thread and PM them to reply to your inquiry.

Edit: Some how recommending this turns me into the @sshole.

GTM,

Whats the cost difference to have HKS SSQV Bov's?

Will your 3" downpipes on your site (designed for garret kit) work with this MHI Kit?

Also will these downpipes mate to oem nismo mid pipe or will a reducer be required for the flanges to match?

Post may have been overlooked with all the gauge pictures previously.

why wrong thread? if you are deciding between tuner or turn key kit for this car, wouldn't you want to understand GTM's opinion on options with tuning? for that matter, wouldn't they be able to state limitation with EcuTek in reference to their kit. their turn key kit is tuned with uprev. is there any point they would establish a turn key kit but with EcuTek instead? since they are considered to be master tuners for ecutek and have dabbled with it for their Juke R&D, am curious if they can give us more information on Ecutek?

it's like asking what the diff between MHI turbos from the Garrett turbos?

Perfectly valid question in my opinion. I've been curious about this as well but don't know of an ecutek tuner in my area.

This is about the MHI TT kit. It can be purchased with and without a tune. The tune was already mentioned as an Uprev tune. Tuning is wholly a different topic and can consume and derail a thread. I don't know if GTM does Ecutek tuning for the Z (I saw a thread saying they did [not by GTM]), but if they offered Ecutek tuning services for the Z already, I am 99.999% sure they would make a thread about it. Tuning does have a separate forum section where this could be addressed.

"what are the advantages/disadvantages of using EcuTek instead of UpRev to tune this kit? thanks.. " This makes an assumption that you know they have used Ecutek to tune this kit when all we've seen is Uprev based tuning.

Edit: I know there was a $hit ton of info on some of the capabilities of Ecutek over Uprev in the other thread, and was mentioned to ask Sam or Mike to chime in on the topic. So in essence, you've really just kinda opened a floodgate into this thread. I don't see why this should be targeted only towards this kit when the question really is about supercharger tuning, turbo tuning, NA tuning, it just seemed like a convenient way to try and shoehorn it in an active thread

Edit 2: Straight from GTM's page; All our turbo kits are available in Two forms, A tuner kit form so the professional and the end user have the flexibility of choosing what ever fuel, engine management they may desire and feel comfortable using. And a complete kit form with fuel and engine management solution leaving a alot of room for future growth. With that being said, GTM will also offer an extensive range of fuel system and engine management modules to go with our turbo kits.

i dont understand what you are trying to do but agree that we disagree on the topicality of my question... if GTM is not tuning this kit with EcuTek or it wouldnt work or simply they dont use EcuTek, then they can say something about it. unless they directly told u something about tuning on ur twin supercharged kit to confirm what you are inferring as 99.9999%, then frankly you are just cluttering the thread and more off topic than my question.. simply going to EcuTek's website and looking for certified tuners states that GTM is a master tuner for 370z... please pm me if u want to discuss further

SPOHN 05-03-2013 03:07 PM

Most all tuners use Uprev now for our cars since it's so friendly (not saying the others are not). I'm sure Sam has a lot of licenses already bought from Uprev and also being he's already done a lot of tuning via uprev he must also have a lot of maps ready to be released with the turn key kits or even the tuner kits if need be.

GTM, any pics from underneath of the open dumps and downpipes?
