im assuming the flanges on the exhaust manifold are different between the two. At least when i was into eclipses we were flanged for the g series turbos bt if we wanted to use others it required a new exhaust mani

1slow370 03-28-2013 09:51 PM

or if your beefy you just set on top of you on a good creeper roll under car pick it up and shove it in. my 2 cents on that one since most tranny jacks are crap anyway.

Now that's a manly way to do it!

So the GTM 3" Downpipes will be available for sale separately? I am looking to replace the DPs on mu Greddy TT setup and these may fit the bill. I guess I should just call in huh?

Cvzg77r 03-29-2013 06:22 AM

so no definite answer from gtm?

Yes, it will be possible without having to replace anything but the turbos. and actually we can do better than that, The new manifold can also accept the latest T25+ turbine housing from garret that can flow as much as a T3 and comes with a V band turbine housing. will post a pic of GT35R housing that will directly fit to our manifold.

Yes it does. We offer a supplement kit with a smaller reservoir .

This kit sounds absolutely incredible, and with such tempting pricing! Damn you business school and your affect on my bank account...

showme99 03-29-2013 11:41 AM

Is your supplemental window washer reservoir included with the turbo kit? If not, how much does it cost?

I understand that the MHI turbo kit is the least intrusive with regard to installation (which I definitely appreciate). Besides the windshield washer reservoir, are there any other factory components that need to be relocated?

LukasC 03-29-2013 01:11 PM

How much would the garrett turbos cost? To do the swap later

Sam:

Is the Washer Reservoir listed on your site the one that you are talking about? The pictures only show the bottle. Does it come with a bracket? That is the only thing keeping me from ordering it right away.

Also, I asked about the 3" downpipes earlier. I am looking to replace the ones that we included with my Greddy kit. If it is a complicated situation, I will just explore the alternative with AAM, Zerolift, and or UPREV.

lww 03-31-2013 04:40 PM

1 word: EPIC

Now just need to get CARB approval for the SC kit finalized so you can focus on the TT CARB approval!

rAiN 04-01-2013 09:45 PM

1.would it be better to run this kit with oem exhaust?
2.say if I get the turn-key kit, all I need is to install the kit, flash ecu with its provided and i am good to go? ( no secondary tune is needed?)

lww 04-01-2013 10:29 PM

1. No.
2. Don't really know what you're asking. If you reflashed the ECU you are now running a "secondary" tune.

he's asking if he would still need to go and get tuned somewhere, which is a fair question. the answer is no and yes. you really don't need another tune if everything looks good with the data logging. Sams tunes are pretty damn close on the first try, you do data logging and Sam will tweak it from there if necessary. With that said, if you can afford it getting a professional dyno tune from a competent uprev tuner is not a bad idea at all.

blackonorange 04-01-2013 11:18 PM

He's asking if he can just leave it on the base tune from GTM. I know alot of ppl do just go off of sams tunes and are fine

Edit: ^ read above

COSMO 04-02-2013 07:14 AM

I big deal but I had to relocate the drivers side horn since there was no room for it in the stock location with the intercooler piping.. Lets hope Pablo from GTM will write up the instructions and take pictures for their new TT kit this time around. (hint hint) ;)

Our 3" downpipes will not fit the Greddy kit since they use their own specific turbine housing.

The windshield washer reservoir will be included in the MHI kit. As far as relocating other components, there may be a couple minor things that need to be shuffled around in the engine bay to make a little room, but they will not be modified or deleted and we will provide any necessary brackets to mount them elsewhere.

That depends on which turbos you want and what the price is at the time you are looking to purchase them. Garrett raises their prices every year but we've been absorbing a lot of the price increases in our Garrett kits over the last few years.

The washer reservoir on our website does not include a bracket since people generally mount it wherever they see fit to accommodate other mods that they may have done as well as personal preference.

1. This kit, like our Garret based kit, can be used with the stock exhaust. Will you make big power with the stock exhaust? Not really since it does present a big restriction, but it will still be a whole heck of a lot faster even with the bottleneck. For optimum power, a full 3" exhaust is the way to go.

2. Correct, the Turn-Key kit can be installed and the ECU flashed with our tune. The only reason to go with a custom tune would be to extract even more power since our tunes are on the conservative side to ensure maximum safety and reliability without neutering the power.

I am patiently waiting for these T25+ turbo housings and manifold's

Now hurry up :happydance:

Dzel 04-03-2013 05:40 PM

Is a 3"exhaust absolutely need? Other miss have put out 550+ with stock cats and a 2.5" cbe?

Stock cats limits to about 450whp. Test pipes make a flatter torque curve and give you a little more power. Straight through 2.5 can get you up to 550.

tower74 04-03-2013 09:40 PM

:excited:Just got my quote from GTM for the clutch, 3" exhaust, gauges and of course the twins. Now just need a release date......:driving:. Then 30 days later..boost again.

blackonorange 04-04-2013 11:00 PM

What would it be like if I used test pipes and used Aam shorty tail pipes, but keep the rest of the stock exhaust I wonder how that would work

Would be like this but a bit quieter.

blackonorange 04-04-2013 11:32 PM

No but in terms of flow and trq curve all the way to redline

Footloose301 04-05-2013 06:36 AM

What date will these ship?!

We want to make sure that when we release the shipping dates, that it is going to be on target. We're still waiting on the eta of a few components so we can dial in that time frame. So far, we're a little ways out, but this is going to be worth the wait since no other mod you can buy right now is going to give you the same performance per dollar as this kit.

Not surprising seeing the price.

LukasC 04-07-2013 10:36 PM

That explains the price a little bit.
