I made changes to my original invoice and GTM refunded me the difference right away.

Since he paid us with a wire transfer, we will have to mail him a check. The check was mailed out last week and I followed up with a phone call to let him know it is already on its way.

Thanks Sam but when did you send out the check? Was it certified mail? Because that's $5800+ that's uninsured of your money floating around if it wasn't. It's not my money until it's in my back account. If it was a wire transfer why could you not do the same in return? You received that money with no fuss that very same day. Now here we are 7 "business" days later when you previously stated it would only take less than 5 days for me to get my money!
