Tony, do we have a definite answer that the kit wont fit RHD cars or is just supposition?

I WANT!

Saw nklear's Z at FI the other day, looks great. Who has the 7AT they're working on? Talking to them, it sounded like they are really thoroughly testing and breaking down the 7AT to see where it needs to be improved to handle power. They're doing great work over there and I'm expecting some awesome AT support package sin the future from them.

Reading back, i see the 7AT is cycy89's car. Can't wait to see how that turns out and what FI learns about our 7AT.

I rode in Hotrodz Z and it was impressive. If I were to go back in time after having two pulley and belt failures in 3 months, I would have gone a different route. And this wasn't one of the crazy e85 cars either. Power came one very fast and it sounded great. This was just after my car ate the accessory belt and Superchargers stopped spinning.

I know, I read. Super sad brotha. I would love to see a direct comparison of your GTM Twin SC vs Hotrodz FI TT. Of course they're both going to have their positives and negatives. It would just be cool to see how they add up

then I can come along and get my car owned by both of you... but I have a BOV so i can pretend I can run with the big boys... I just have to close my eyes when I shift and it will sound like I'm just as fast...

LOL...at least you are not kidding yourself on that whole comparison of mine is bigger than yours game

SS, Infamous and I have been trying to arrange a side by side comparison of each others platform. Infamous has a BP turbo kit. I was mostly heartbroken over SS situation, because he is such good guy and his prize possession let him down. He was still very excited to see how my car ran compared to his even though it failed him a few minutes earlier. All I can say is it was fun to hear his positive responses as I spun the tire with a simple stab of the throttle. The pulls in third and forth gear are incredible and redline comes within seconds for the two gear. I have the mildest tune and the least amount of whp of all the FI kits and she simply kick a$$. I just can't imagine what another 100whp and tq would be like! I also took Jenz for a ride as she is considering which kit she wants. Well, I will let her speak to her experience, but I think her smiles and her statement to her husband that "I need this turbo!" speaks volumes

Unfortunately I think that we are out of luck on this one Octet! Unless someone wants to foot the bill to ship their car to the US and back! :|

I'd be willing to work out a deal to just get the LHD passenger side exhaust manifold and anything else that might get in the way of the steering knuckle to test fit it myself. Would be far cheaper to ship to the UK though....hint....hint!

Updated my build thread, but wanted to chime back in here as well...

*********************
So, got the car back from F.I. Friday evening.
Spent an hour or two out screwing around, and was totally and completely blown away.
First impressions were as expected. The fit and finish is fantastic. I took a few minutes doing a walk-around/inspection, changed out of the valet-map, double-checked the boost group, let the oil come up to temp, then went for a drive.

...My first text to Tony was filled with expletives (much like my first reply here)

I started with the "around town" map, which is about 9 psi/590hp with conservative timing. It is a total mind-f@#k.
The power is relentless, but the most amazing part is the delivery. Specifically, the boost threshold and boost response. Needless to say, I am VERY happy on my decision to wait and go with F.I.

Anytime...anywhere...you have boost. Cruising along in 6th at 2800...tip in, and it instantly makes boost.
I did one pull up to the top of 5th along a deserted stretch and, well...its gets there DAMNED fast now. Stupid fast.
I'm totally going to have to re-learn this car at the track.

Oh, almost forgot. Those HTA wheels and the alpha housings sound WICKED! Major grin factor!

Saturday was my buddies car show.
All my local gear-head friends knew the car would be back, so it drew a lot of attention. People couldn't believe the numbers it made on a stock motor, and the attention to detail was oogled over all day.
I had Tony put a crinkle-coat black finish on the visible pipes and they came out REALLY well.
*********************

Oh, I also got to scare the **** out of the wife Saturday. Bonus!

Good to hear. I can echo everything you just said. The best part is, months from now, you will still be shocked at what your car can do, the kit is insane. I haven't drove mine for a week due to weather and took it to work today. STILL WORTH EVERY PENNY. The car still starts, idles, cruises around almost as smooth as stock, but when it's go time......sweet Jesus Christmas it is insane!

Baby steps on the track my friend! The power comes on so fast and early, well I am just glad you have a sick brake set-up!

Haha, enjoy brothers, warm weather is coming fast!

I am enjoying my torque...lol!

It's almost certainly supposition as they haven't had a rhd car to test.

Rock FI hard place
