[my last post on the topic though Tony, no worries!]I worry about limiting camber in situations where the trajectory is curved, which if I understand correctly is what phunk's proposed modification will do (as it is designed for maximum tire contact patch in straight line acceleration under load). I have had my car aligned multiple times, finding the limits of each part added and researched this a bit before buying all SPL suspension parts. There are some non-trivial patents filed by super car manufacturers e.g. METHOD TO CONTROL TOE ANGLE AND CAMBER ANGLE IN ACTIVE REAR SUSPENSIONS OF CARS - Patent application that appear to indicate that this is not a simple problem with an easy solution, requiring linear actuators and dynamic electronic adjustment. Of course always open to new ideas (and phunk has proven himself an innovative indidivdual)! |
