Yep, get the mic adapter from GoPro, and a 6ft wire extension for the mic. So you can put the mic where you want it. Slice a hole in a 4" thick piece of foam. Put the mic in it. You're good to go. ;)

faceglide 03-16-2014 10:15 PM

I hate the idea of a mic, since I just love to slap it on the hoof and pop it off, any more than that and it becomes a scene, haha. Fixing to take the car out in a few minutes here, will try some ideas here.

"Use the skeleton backplate in situations 100 MPH and under in dry conditions"...my ***!

Really, where is the plug in for that, there are no mic ports on the 3+ that I have seen? All I can see are the HDMI and USB for charging...unless I'm just blind LOL.

G37Sam 03-17-2014 04:05 AM

Or just buy a professional mic and edit it in afterwards rather than connecting it to the GoPro?

It's on the side. Teeny tiny

cycy89 03-17-2014 08:30 AM

The mic was mounted between the exhaust tips behind rear bumper. Unfortunately it's not FI exhaust.

I still hate Ferrari for replacing a car as gorgeous as the 430 with that monstrosity.

faceglide 03-17-2014 11:45 AM

Lol. Back on track. Daily driving this beast is becoming a ton of fun lol.

Scenic route and lots of other fast cars to play with on my commute.

Ok confirmed with what Blake said, for the 3+ there is an adapter you can buy, it is a USB to 3.5mm. Guess maybe next time I should Google first instead of going back and forth here. LOL. Sorry for the off topic Tony, but hopefully this will lead to some high quality videos of the kit soon.

Tomorrow will be the ultimate test as to how efficient our kit really is. The largest turbo's we offer (currently) and our largest full exhaust system with little to no restriction. Well, the fuel system will not hold us back either. This should get people talking...

Oh, I almost forgot, we will make sure to turn down the torque so it does not come on too hard! :rofl2:

faceglide 03-19-2014 01:05 AM

Many a tear shall be shed if you achieve torque....at least that's what I was told.

Excited about the build DJTodd. If the numbers are as good as I am sure they will be, maybe I will just change plans and build my block, like tomorrow...lol

Never a dull day in the Fast Intentions thread. If I can make a comeback from the workload smothering my world, I could possibly add some excitement to the thread, ughhhh....maybe I will just dump this overtime into some alphas and forged parts.

No, Not yet. It will, but that will likely be this winter or early next year.

theDreamer 03-19-2014 08:10 AM

Honest question, since we have seen a few FI TT kits push the 600whp range. What are you guys planning to do with the larger turbos and fuel system with a stock block?

djtodd 03-19-2014 08:23 AM

In my case, it was just to already have those components taken care of, rather than having to upgrade in the future.

djtodd 03-19-2014 08:25 AM

And the fuel system was pretty much a necessity for e85

faceglide 03-19-2014 09:22 AM

Well, the word efficiency is the key here.

I believe JLO is going to be the first monster on the kit, but this will be exciting. More/same power on less boost would be the goal. At least, this is what I am looking for.

Dam I was getting excited to see what those turbos would do on a built engine. I am trying to gather as much information as possible on them.

Billet compressor Wheels don't begin to shine tell higher boost pressure that's what they are designed for. On a stock block Z you wont even begin to get those turbo into there efficiency rage.

cycy89 03-19-2014 11:09 AM

Tony, for reals, if the trans holds up, I wanna go e85 with bigger turbos lol.

Quite efficient. 20 more up same boost. Probably more in it if it could take it. Well some.

Torque is still there. How dare you Tony!

Huh? Smh. Some normal advice is not hating if that's what you call hating then :ugh2:

Anyways those are crazy high numbers for a stock block. Pump gas or e85?
