Any FI kits running pump gas? What are the nnumbers if so?

phunk 03-19-2014 04:17 PM

Quick question about the kit... what do the intake tubes measure in diameter where the MAF flanges are?

My #s in my sig are on 91 pump

jpritche 03-19-2014 04:33 PM

That power curve looks damn good too(can't see the whole pic on Instagram). Good job FI.

faceglide 03-19-2014 05:02 PM

Tony, I think you better make a fast 1085 fuel kit....I am sure there is a lot left in these turbos.

It is so hard right now to keep my stock block, I just want to throw it off a cliff and go big already! Definite turbo envy for sure.

That being said I had to take my car out for a drive after watching the clip.....**** I love this car, it is INSANE with my new tire setup. Launches have been so fun! Gotta love having TORQUE:stirthepot::stirthepot

Congrats DJTodd, things are only going to get better, how hard is it to NOT buy a plane ticket to socal right now and just kidnap it from Tony?!?!:bowrofl:

As is mine, but according to some people I don't drive it hard enough :rofl2: I guess 2 full days at the drag strip, zdayz, and countless Socal canyon runs don't count as hard driving! Lol

Great work Tony. Sounds like I need a built block and alphas as well!

Chuck33079 03-19-2014 05:12 PM

Speechless, guys. Just wow.

Super Werty 03-19-2014 06:34 PM

Thats insane for a stock engine! Just a few months ago I was under the impression(from this forum) 500rwhp was about the limit

so 658 sounds a heck of a lot nicer to me!

by the way its now 658 hp and 588 ft-lbs!!

The list below is what we currently have finished.

000: TerribleONE: 91 & 100
001: djtodd: E85
004: dirTy_shoeZ: E85
005: faceglide: E85
007: nklear: 91 & 100
008: mfeinst: 93
015: HotRodz: 91

Forged Performance has one kit just about completed and I believe started it up yesterday on 93. 5 kits are rolling out next Tuesday and 1 more over to SpecialtyZ.

Thanks, Tony

What is your new tire setup? I presume my OEM tires aren't going to do the trick once Tony gets done with my car.

anthony909 03-19-2014 06:41 PM

Your right it does, although we still don't know how long the stock block can handle that abuse. I guess we will find out

We were going to shoot for 700 but I was not able to get a hold of djtodd to get his authorization to take her higher. After mulling it over for a few minutes while we waited for the call back, Dan and Sebastian and I all agreed that 13 psi was as far as we were comfortable on a stock block.

We have nothing to prove at this point! We are all for a real treat in the coming weeks when hjo1078 installs this very same setup on his newly built engine and custom fuel system from Baker Performance. A 4 digit number is not out of the question!

Thanks, Tony

This what I am waiting to see even though I know it will be E85 it will give me a good idea of what that stage can do.

Well, my kit alone would have broken 700 at the dyno, but to reiterate Tony, theydon't want to go past 13psi on a stock block, but if you look at my dyno series, the mighty gt28rs had zero signs of slowing down(in regards to power vs boost).

Now, this monster can breath down low AND UP TOP. Who knows where these things will end?

You have to admire the responsibility of what is going on. They are not throwing 11psi on 91 octane just to turn heads. With e85, they are still being judicious about their approach. Yet, somehow, this beautiful kit can spool gt28s to 700hp or spin alphas to 500...there's something about an original, thought out, cut-no-corners design engineered from the ground up that just works.

Super Werty 03-19-2014 10:36 PM

Tony do you have any pictures of the different turbos/options to show the difference side by side?

GaleForce 03-19-2014 11:23 PM

Here it is......

http://i371.photobucket.com/albums/o...ps815042c0.jpg

Today was the result of 2 years of drive, desire, hard work, steadfast dedication, and the relentless pursuit to provide by far and way the best TT Kit in the world for this platform, period! I left out a few good breaks along the way because there were none! This thing kept rearing it's nasty head at us for 2 years. We kicked back and are finally starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel.

We went in to today with the goal of eclipsing 600 RWH at 10 psi. Well, it took a little more than that (607 RWH @ 10.89 psi) to be exact but we are more than satisfied with the outcome. When driving the car home from the dyno, she is a flat out beast and we peaked at 8.8 psi on the boost controller.

In the coming weeks hjo1078 will blow these numbers out of the water with the ability to push his kit to 20-25+ psi. Same kit, with a few tweaks. Built engine, a little more beefed up fuel system (in tank) and upgraded MAF sensors. We project to need the MAF upgrade at 700 RWH.

For the 20 or so (thus far) who have picked up what we have put down, thank you for your belief and trust in us. We will not sleep until you all have your kits. After that , we are taking a nice long vacation! :tiphat:

I can get in to the "our kit makes too much torque for the stock block" conversation, but it is late and to argue it, is like being a one legged man in an *** kicking contest!

Well, that's I have for now. Please enjoy the dyno chart.

Thanks, Tony

How in the world did this kit made 600 WHP in just 10 PSI?!?!
How much WHP does that dyno read on stock cars?

How on earth did my GTM kit not make 600whp at a much higher boost level.

It's coz GTM sucks braaahhh :bowrofl:

Ok trolling aside, they're using modded HTA turbo's and E85 on the stock high compression pistons.

On the contrary, we made 632 RWH & 590 FT LBS. of torque on faceglide's car.

-GT2860RS
-3/2.5" DP & 2.5" CBE

We then went back and turned the timing up (slightly) on faceglide's car and made 612 RWH on 12 psi.

According to some, the HTA turbo's will react no different than the GT2860RS until the higher psi levels.

This is the dyno we have always used. We usually see between 275-285 RWH on a bone stock NA 370Z.

One word will answer your first question...EFFICENCY!

Holy boost!!! Stop surprising me tony!!! Every time you give an update, I ask myself, should I just leave my car there a little longer and have my motor built?? Lol
But ya, congrats guys, I'm soooo happy to be part of it! And you have my permission to break 700 on my z, just don't break anything lol

elperuano 03-20-2014 08:19 AM

And to think how much coin was dropped for that project.... He could've had this FI kit and smashed those rb numbers ;)
