I want to see the F.I. kit on a fully built motor to handle high boost! ... Anyone planning on doing that in the near future?

There is something in the works for this right now as far as I know. My car will also eventually have a built motor! I think that's where this kit will really shine

I do in the somewhat near future. Probably end of 2014 or so. I'll run on the stock block for a bit while the spare block is built.

A handful of our current orders are going to be on E85. As far as I know for sure we have one right now on a fully built engine, return fuel system and our larger turbo's. That is going to pur like nobody's business!

Likewise. I would l love to run the stock block for a bit first.

Suspension and maybe some fun aero will be my focus for 2014. Car only had 9k on it.

E85 is planned for my install though. Soon as the fuel buys come in. I have charles@cjm slaving away for me. Haha.

This would eliminate the need to block off the forward facing pipe, as it does not have that pipe. Just a little bit cleaner is all.
Plus, while it is off, you can cut off and weld shut the throttle coolant barb. To eliminate the other end of the throttle coolant, you can pull out the press-in barb on the aluminum rear coolant outlet housing. A 1/8 NPT tap fits in the hole. Put in a stainless 1/8 plug. This is what I did to eliminate the throttle coolant in my car without doing a messy bypass hose. (bypass hose is also allowing some water to bypass radiator after thermostat is fully open, slightly reducing cooling system efficiency)

Doing it this way would be a clean and easy way to cleanup all the coolant line mess. Tested and proven setup in my car for over 2 years daily driven, even in sub zero weather. For a 09-11 this takes care of it. For the 12+ you still need the fast intentions supplied blockoff plate and whatever fittings to attach oil cooler plate in replacement to stock heat exchanger.

Hey buddy, Happy New Year! One problem with eliminating pipe #13 on a 2012+, I circled it in Blue on the picture below. This open barb has a line that goes to the expansion tank. The expansion tank is completely different on the 2012+ so this line has to stay. Technically #12 could go. As shown in the picture below, we opt to cap it instead of removing it. I know that I earlier stated that we would use a block off plate like what comes on the 2009-2011 however I have changed this thinking. It will be too much work for the average person to take #12 off and put a block off plate in it's place due to the driver side exhaust manifold being in the way. We want to simplify the Oil Cooler Kit install as much as possible so we went the other route as shown in the picture below. I have since updated my Oil Cooler Kit picture from post #1700 to reflect the proper parts that will come with a 2012+ Oil Cooler Kit from us.

http://i371.photobucket.com/albums/o...ps33a8a084.jpg

As for the block off plate, we have 2 applications where it is needed.

Application 1
2012+ 370Z running our Long Tube Headers. As we have found out through installs, pipe #12 interferes with our driver side header sitting flush against the cylinder head. Basically, one of the header tubes makes contact with the line before the header flange mates up. Removing pipe #12 during a Long Tube Header install is a breeze! You now have three choices to make.

1) Remove the 2012+ OEM coolant recirculation system and run nothing.
2) Run an aftermarket Oil Cooler Kit (FI recommended)

Or go with...

Application 2

Below you will see a few pictures that showcase our fix to be able to run the OEM coolant recirculation system and FI Long Tuber Headers. Keep in mind, this only needs to be used in conjunction with our LTH's. Though an Oil Cooler is recommended opposed to this, we wanted to offer a very affordable option. This line comes out of the driver side of the engine block, swoops along the bell housing, underneath the power steering lines and plugs into the back on pipe #9.

Good info tony, I was not considering what else about that pipe may be different on the 2012+. In that scenario, I would do what I did to my 350z, and just cut that pipe off and weld a plug in it!

Let me tell you guys that the wait is worth it.:happydance: On Saturday January 4th me and my brother met up with Seb and Tony at SpecialtyZ. The FI TT installed, tuned, tested and ready for me to take her home. I could not stop smiling and I haven't stopped smiling since. The kit looks very OEM under the hood with only the shiny tubing of the CAI and intercooler shinning brightly.

Seb had me start her up and she came to life and yes she sounds amazing. We just listened to her growl and then per as Seb explained to me the ends and out of the Blitz boost controller. It is currently set at 8psi. After the instruction it was off for a test drive. Seb took the wheel and told me how the clutch would fill different until I got use to it, but I did not find it difficult to use at all. Then he stabbed the throttle and the wheels just spun through first and then second gear. The acceleration is immediate and there is no turbo lag. Now it was my turn. The clutch engagement to me is what it should be, short, clean and with just the right amount pressure and feed back. I mash the pedal hard....wow, spin city! First and second gear is just a means to get the RPMs up so that you can get the hookup in third and then you get pinned to the back of your seat!!!

I drove us back to the shop and I know I looked like the Joker when I drove up and Tony and my brother were waiting to see my reaction. I was simply elated:excited:. It was game over in just that short test drive and I never really got to push to the car. Well, I would get my chance to do that on my trek back home to my brother's house (120 miles) and then back to AZ (255 miles). All I will say for now is it only get's better! I will post more as I gather my thoughts and get some video.

I am very glad that I made the choice to go with Fast Intentions. Worth it without a doubt if you want super car like results! Let's just say I made one run on my trip back to AZ in sixth gear only where I made 8psi!!!:driving:

I have nothing but praise and admiration for the Teams at SpecialtyZ and Fast Intentions. Dan is the man...what a friking awesome design and product. You need to come from behind the curtain Mr. Oz as you work is second to none!:yum::yum::yum:

Thank you, Tony

Nicely done gentlemen! Great to see the turbo kits going out to some very lucky customers. All the best in the New Year, hope you sell a lot of kits, and I hope that people see the time/effort that has been put towards this high quality product.

It is sad to see that in this industry, manufacturers more often than not look at only the volume, instead of making and supporting a product that is built to last.

Good to see that you guys are rising well above that.

Sasha,

Thank you for the support. Likewise for you in the New Year.

Producing the highest quality products are only half the battle. Providing the customer support to go along with it is equally important. The kind of support that needs to be present 6 months and 2 years after the customer has the product and calls back with a question or concern on something. You either have it...or you don't!

Thanks, Tony

Update,

So in a few days dirTy_shoeZ will be receiving his FI TT Kit. I figured I would beat him to the punch letting the cat out of the bag. A few months back we decided to offer a few more options to our turbo line.

1. The HTA-2868 as a bump up from the Garrett GTX2867R. Faster spool with a higher ceiling. All of the benefits, with none of the downfalls. This turbo is a hybrid of sorts. A combination of Garrett and TiAL internals. My friend above will incorporate this turbo combination along with E85 on his ride. All I have to say is...

2. We have taken the HTA-2868 and swapped the compressor cover out with the "ALPHA" cover. This is the bad boy of them all. This is our top of the line option and currently in the testing phase. We have 3 customers on the current list that are signed up for this option pending the outcome. 2 of them will be on E85 and built engines. Sky is the limit here. The purpose of the alpha cover is to gain across the board. All of the benefits of the HTA-2868 with an even higher ceiling. Fast spool, with 1000 HP capability! :owned: Check it out below.

Right Blake? I think we are both secretly wishing we blow our stock blocks @12psi to give ourselves the excuse to build and throw these in there.

Exciting times indeed. We nay see a few 1000HP z's faster than anyone imagined....

OH well, back to shopping for more traction/suspension mods, god knows how much I will need~!

haha Ask Tony, I got my car from him few days ago... I am already on the 2nd set of tires. But to be honest with you, I love sliding every street light from 1st to 2nd to 3rd.... White smoke from the tires, black smoke from the exhaust (obviously no cats, no cells, and hitting rev limiter in every gear). I drive it like I stole it, and I Love it...

so far so good ;). Everything is holding up. Clutch is amazing. The cool thing about Fast Intentions is that they did their research and development. I dropped off a vehicle and got a race car back. Fast Intentions did not just install the Twin Turbo Kit. Fast Intentions found the right clutch for me to be able to put the power down. They also found the right bushings for the differential to eliminate wheel hop. We spend time figuring out what boost controller I want, what exhaust I want, and what wide-band I need. When I picked up the car, Fast Intentions spend an hour or two showing me how to property use the car. They took me on a test drive and showed me everything I need to know about the turbo's, the new clutch, and the boost controller. Also when I picked up my car it was detailed in and out, I got it back completely spotless, engine bay was also clean and detailed. Quality and Support is outstanding, The best I've ever had from any performance shop.
