Speedy I did have a couple small problems right in the beginning but nothing I couldn't correct myself. My other problem I have right now is the tranny shift grind crap. Were in talks with nismo and were going to try some new synchro designs. We're gonna try the Kevlar first which is the one they use on there race car. The z tranny is the Achilles heal in my opinion because if it wasn't for that the car would be perfect.

Yea when my car was brand new and still NA i had that stupid grind going from second to 3rd so I had it warranteed and then i installed the turbo kit and i did a bunch of high speed runs and now it grinds from 4th to 5th and the tranny sounds like its gonna fall out the bottom. I lost like 5 miles per gallon, the tranny sounds loud as hell and changing gears is really tuff sometimes. i changed the oil in it twice. Nismo thinks i broke a shift fork and the synchros are toast. So im having another tranny I bought built back to stock then im pulling this one out and gonna fix it with the nismo synchros and custom shift forks.

I talked to a friend of a friend who races 240s and 280zs. Hes in baton rouge louisiana. He talked to nismo for me because there are really no one attempting to or has attemped to fix this problem that we know of. The kevlar synchro would purely be a test to see if it would last in a daily driver because in theory the kevlar should wear faster then the brass but they use the kevlar in there endurance race cars with no problems so they will have to install it into mine let me drive it for 10000 miles then pull it back apart to see how it held up. From what he told me the kevlar makes the shifts so much smoother. I can probably get you his number tomorow if youd like.

Please keep us updated on this! You should start a thread or something, it is deff. something that will gather interest. Mine grinds from 1st to 2nd and its getting replaced under warranty but its just a matter of time before it happens again. I will be very interested on upgrading synchros depending on your results.

So that's it for boost leak test on our kit? Simply pop off both filters, plug one end, and plug the boost leak tester on the other end?
