Default 7AT going supercharged

Hey all, I have a 2009 7AT with roughly 50k miles and a 100k mile factory warranty. I really want to get some more power out of the z and I think supercharged is the best option. I really like the stillen kit because It retains the factory warranty if the dealership installs it and I have had good experiences in the past with stillen. My z is my daily, but I only plan on running the kit with low boost for efficiency. The real question here is will the supercharger and auto tranny be ok together with low boost I really want to have at or close to 400whp on a dyno jet.

Find a reputable installer and Uprev tuner and you will be ok.

You may want to PM shumby. He's gone through exactly what you're looking to do. The 7AT has had some failures at around 400whp.

1. The Stillen SC for the 370 has had a rough history on here, search through the FI section and you'll find the threads for it.

2. If you're looking for 400whp, your better off getting the GTM Stage 1 kit as the Stillen kit never reached that point if I remember correctly.

3. With a very simple, slight modification to oil pressures in the AT, it holds the power just fine. Confirmed for both SC and TT applications up to 500hp and then a little more. A TT 7AT with the right tranny mods is dangerous.

You can get easy over 400whp on a sc auto and will be good. Tuning is the major key. Still haven't seen an auto TT go over 450whp. Sc yes

Everything is relative. Most of the 500 whp were/are on 10-11 PSI.

<--- 440WHP 7.5 PSI 7AT on a mustang dyno.

Never dynoed on a dynojet. Mustang dyno better for real world conditions. Dynojet for bragging rights.

Interested to see what it would be on a dynojet and with 10 PSI.

i made 434whp with the stock pulley... and 462whp with smaller pulley.
If your talking about the stillen tune not reaching 400whp? if so, your right i was 291whp before charger, 331whp with stillen tune, the car seemed slower with the supercharger adn the stillen tune.

Either the Stillen or GTM would be ok. Stillen pretty much *needs* a custom tune. You definitely need engine and transmission coolers.

TBH, all of the dynos can probably be "tuned" to read high or low based on correction factors and whatnot, and all of them are probably capable of reliable, accurate readings as well. Dynojet just gets a bad rep because it seems to be the favorite dyno among shops that cater to forums horsepower braggers and add correction factors accordingly
