Exclamation Twin Turboed z's, what oil are you running?

Hey guys, I've got the GTM TT kit on my z and the oil cruising on the freeway gets to 235+! I used Mobil 1 synthetic 5w-30. I've been recommended to get the Nissan Ester oil, but can't seem to find a lot of information on it. Is anyone else having this issue and found a resolution? Thx!

No actually, I will be, however before the mobile 1 there didnt seem to be an issue w oil temp. It was nissans oil prior. I understand that the typical response would be just to go back to the nissan oil, but I really wanted to look at what others are running.

Ps. What oil coolers are the most recommended, especially when summer runs around here in AZ? This will be a must before summer rolls around and w the issue Im having now, probably sooner.

Being on this forum for over a year, I have seen that it doesn't really matter what type of oil you use as far as oil temp goes. Get an oil cooler. It's possible also that since getting the TT kit, you're probably driving your car a bit harder thus the higher temp. Get an oil cooler

I am Not TT'ed but I like to run road courses. I run a Z1 34 Row oil cooler.
Z1 Motorsports 370Z/G37 Oil Cooler Kit

I run Mobil 1 Extended Performance. On the track, and after a 20 min session of Hard running I see just over 200 degrees.

I highly recommend a oil cooler since your TT'ed.

Chad

No, ever 4K. For me it's better for High temps. I could used Reg Mobil One, but It's just my preference.

I am actually surprised you are not seeing higher temps on a TT car. 235 is not that bad, I've seen people hit that while NA.

I never ever go over 190-210 going off my HKS Camp2, which gives more updated readings. Thats even when I rip on it time and time again. Some folks on here don't believe me, thats fine. I have 3 buddies w/370z that are supercharged and their temps get sky high.

Mobile 1 is what I use, its a great oil.

That high though, while just cruising on the freeway at 3k rpms? It seems 210-220 is what I've been seeing as the normal temps. Im just going to go get a damn oil cooler. I need one anyway bc of how hot it gets here in az. I really like the zr1 motorsports, or even the stillen kit

What was the ambient temp? GTMs 34row oil cooler is the exact same thing as Z1s and its cheaper.
