The car drives hot and my tuner and the install tech agree. From a cold start even in the morning (I work 6a-3p) when it is in the high 80's the car warms up to 220-230 fairly quickly. I would say probably within 6-7 miles of city driving with no traffic. If I stay out of boost, the temps primarily stay there.

When I leave work at 3p and it is 105+ outside, I warm up to 230 just getting to the Dallas North Toll Way. Once I am on the Toll and speed up to 75-80 the oil warms up to 240-250. Granted a little over 250 is the highest I have seen but this is on an 18 mile commute on primarily the expressway home.

I know a lot of this is due to the irregular heat in DFW this year. We have broken all kinds of heat related records. The other day it was only 102 and the oil temps topped out at 230 in the heat of the day. So I know there is a correlation with the ambient heat and the oil temps. I also think the lack or air flow to that side of the NISMO bumper is a factor.

I just got word from Kenny that my Greddy oil pan has already shipped. I hope that addition in conjunction with the vented fender liner will quell my high oil temps. I am hesitant to really test out the SC until I get these temperatures sorted. Not sure about the SPAL fan just yet. The pan and vent maybe enough. Have to wait and see.

However, I am happy with the fit, finish, and performance of the Stage 1 kit even with the heat. I wish the oil cooler worked better out of the box but it is what it is. I live in a hot area and the bumper limits air flow to the cooler. What else can I say?

I have not really gotten to test the car fully, but I like what I have experienced so far. I still need to tweak some things like fabricate something for the windshield washer reservoir and vent the driver side fender lining, but I am happy so far with the kit.
