Another Stillen SC thread!

Hello everyone and I have some info i would like to post. Not one person on here can call me a Stillen Nut swinger and all this info is unbiased. After hearing about Stillen trying to destroy weiboys for sale I contacted Josh about this. Reason for doing this was because i was upset about something like this and thought it was a shitty thing for them to do. Well after speaking with Josh according to him that was not the case. I had about a half hour conversation with him and he provided me with a ton of info. So I am going to display this info for all to read and to make there own interpretation of what happen. The reason for stillen not posting this is because thy didn't want to seem like they were attacking weiboy. The reason I am posting is because like anyone else on here I want the truth so people can make there own assumption based off of the facts they were provided. I don't know if i was suppose to post this or if Josh wanted the conversation kept between me and him, so I am practicing my first amendment, so sorry Josh if this was not what was intended.

I addressed the situation to Josh so i am going to go down the line.
Josh told me that the statement of them trying to kill his F/S thread is completely unfair. People have called asking about the kit and if they would recommend if they buy it. Stillen told them to proceed with caution because they did not see the condition of the kit and verify if all the parts to be removed were there. With stillen i have to agree with. How can they tell someone it will be good if they did not see it. They don't know who is removing the kit, things get lost it happens. Also stillen provided eric with a option to send the kit into them to verify that all the parts were there and there present condition. It would cost about a hour of labor. Upon them completing the inspection Josh said he would have no problem on recommending the kit if it is good to go. Also Josh said he would have shipped it to the seller from there with all the parts required to fit it on to the 370 if that is the vehicle the buyer had. According to Josh weiboy denied this and said no body would pay for this. Also when people asked what was needed to make it fit on the Z, Stillen was unsure at first because they never received this request. After finding out they contacted weiboy to let him know the difference between both kits.

Since weiboy corrected about them not selling the parts required for the kit, I will skip that. Seemed to be miscommunication there that was cleared up. Josh also mentioned to me that they never mentioned that they wouldn't provide the new buyer of there kit with support. he was quick to say "we are still on the hook with this kit regardless of who owns it.

Josh also told me about some of the performance issues with weiboys car, but I am not going into that on here because I don't own the kit. I just want to provide the info on there customer service. I just want to make sure that all the info is out there for people to make there own decision.

Very good post I would like to add my two cents to it though and give you my experience with Stillen.Before I purchase my 370 I had a 350z with a Vortech Superchar on it that uses the same vortech V3 supercharger that the Stillen kit has.

I called Stillen up as well as GTM but first I called Stillen and spoke to a guy named Kenny more than once.Now Im sure everyone is aware that when you call Stillen they take down your info.The first time I called Stillen I explained to the Kenny that I had a 03 vortech superchared 350z that has the same blower that there kit has. I ask them if they would sell me all the other parts besides the blower it self because I was planning on getting a 370z. I did not have one at the time I do now. I also explained to him that I was not satisfied with the numbers that there kit is putting out on other customers cars and I would like to make more power 430-450 range,and if I did get there kit I would run a custom tune. On my 03 Vortech with 10 pounds of boost 350z I made 415whp 350tq with the same supercharger. I have kept track of both the Stillen Supercharger as well as GTM.He advised me not to buy a full kit and that he doesnt think that the Supercharger will fit we shall see once I get weiboy718 kit in my hand.

Now back to my concern about there kit Stillen was trying to sell me there full kit I have seen enough info on there tunes to know to stay away from it.I got fed all the info that there kit will be going carb as soon ,Kenny told me next week this was a month ago. After that they would then be going balls to the wall and coming out with different stages. I then explained to him again that I have no interest in using any of there tunes and would be going custom and would like a pulley that runs more boost. I also told him then that it was between them and GTM I then got the GTM bashing talk. He then said if I wanted to run a custom pulley they could make me one because they make them in house.

Now On to GTM when I called GTM I spoke with SAM and explained to him that I was looking at there kit and Stillen kit SAM did not once start bashing Stillen.Sam then asked me how much power I am looking for and I told him he told me to get his turbo kit.At the time I was not thinking turbo but more so Supercharger Stillen or GTM supercharger but stage 2.This is because of the install my self and 2 of my friends will be doing the install.Sam told me and was nice enough to send me the instructions in a e-mail of installing the turbo kit with out dropping the motor. At this time I really started thinking turbo kit.

Ok now back to Stillen I called them there other day and spoke to Kenny yet again about selling me a custom pulley. Now all of a sudden he wont sell me one and begins to say that when I get my get from weiboy718 Im going to have parts missing and will be calling him back for some parts.He then wanted to tell me there side of the story I then told him I dont care.I never once said weiboy 718 name to him I just said Im getting the kit from a un happy customer thats all.

Sorry about the long post there it is if I missed typed something sorry.There is more to it that I can add but in the end my experience so far has been like pulling my hair out.

Thank you for sharing. I am not defending stillen i was just sharing with everyone the conversation. As for the statements, we told weiboy this or that I confirmed with him before i posted and the info was true. I don't own a damn thing thats stillen but I have spoke to josh and he has spoke to me plenty of times. Small community believe it or not. When I talked to josh I opened it up with WTF and thats when me and him began talking. I took notes of things he said because all I wanted is the truth just like I thought everyone else did. It's like frost said he can tell this post was made in anger. There were lose ends in it and I wanted it tied up because maybe someday there will be something from stillen I would like to get. This is why I only touched the cutomer service area and never mentioned what josh said is wrong with weiboys perfromance. I don't own that kit and not fare for me to give a opinion. I would like to think my credability is high here because I never alterd the truth good or bad. I am honest about everything I post weather good or bad.
I don't know what is up with the salesmen at stillen, when I asked josh about them he said he doesn't know about there convrsations becase he wasn't there. Thats why when i want to do business i only deal with the people that are on the forum because it is easier to get rid of the he said she said game. If you need parts contact josh directly I know he will help you sincehe told me already he would. Weiboy has his number.
