the original ones wouldn't be any better really because we don't have cast factory manifolds. what you are looking for is heat retention. Every body says it's exhaust heat that spins turbos and i know from doing a rmt that, that is crap but there is truth to it because the heat in the exhaust makes the air expand and that increases the pressure which does spool the turbo faster than air that is cooling down and causing a backup in the pipes. most of the heat is lost through the headers where the temperature delta is greatest, so with a rmt it is critical to coat and wrap exhaust components for maximum spool time reduction which equals more power, sooner. i would get the headers ceramic coated, and then wrap the whole system from the block to the turbo in heat wrap. of course jet hot would cost about $300 plus shipping and that much heat tape would be another 150 or so but the whole system could decrease the spool time by 300rpm or more, so from boost at 4000 to boost at 3700
