Not saying GTM or even Stillen is doing this.

It makes no difference whether you were there or not. Its besides the point whether Sam is or isnt skewing the numbers. If the dyno had said 700hp when you were there, would you think your kit makes 700hp? No one is saying he is lying, its more of a matter of confirming what kits out in the wild are making.

FYI, just by the way you change the settings on the dyno you can make cars read a LOT higher than reality or lower for that matter, but you knew that.

Tell that to one of the shops here....
Will not go back to them now or use their dyno mainly.

Yeah man, we had a shop in Boston that would pump out miracle cars that always seemed to have "issues" when they tested on third party dynos. Always battling "leaks" and the like. The worst part is that you always get caught, whether its on another dyno or on the 1320.

Please STOP personally attacking other members. I don't care how good or bad your GTM or STILLEN SC kit, but I'm a little tired of members making fun of other members. As I always say, if you have something against another member here, TAKE it OUTSIDE the forum (via email, AIM, etc)

I'm not accusing Sam/GTM or doing anything nefarious.

I need to look at the press release again. Was it stated that it was running the canned tune that comes in the turn key kit?

I see runs done with both a 2.5" catback and factory exhaust. The catback adds quite a bit of power, which makes the LTH thing pretty curious.

It'll be a while before I drop the cash on a kit so I can see how it plays out a big longer.

With the exception of the carb kit i don't think GTM has just a single tune. They give you a great starting off point, but i have heard several people on here mention that they sent Sam back a couple of data logs and received a tune that is tweaked for their specific car.

as a reminder to everyone..this is a REVIEW thread..please allow those who actually have the kits to comment then direct questions towards them...please try to refrain from bashing or throwing out speculative comments..go to the Stillen thread for that..lol..

All thats being done is reducing the amount of material inside the pipe to be as effective as the ptype was. I could have been running my kit but fortunatly I have a spare car and I am waiting patiently.

If something significant was being changed I would have been one of the first to inform the community. But the truth is, not even Sam could have predicted the casting company to create such a problem for him. Design is the same, functionality should be the same, the only unfortunate thing is the wait...basically if the casting company didnt screw up their would have been alot more kits running around already.

Either way, i'm excited to finally be able to continue with the install and provide the info others have been waiting for...by the end of this week if all goes well.
Yeah, I'm pretty much in the same boat as Danny.
