Maybe a new Mustang GT is built from the ground up to handle FI in the real world over time.. I'm not so sure about a VQ37, I think the jury's out. I certainly meant no offense to GTM, who have earned respect for their kit. Anyone dropping TT or SC in their car right now is a beta tester. That's all from me
Make no mistake, the new 5.0 wasn't designed to handle a lot of boost, much like the VQ37. The difference between the new Mustangs and our 370Z's, is the aftermarket support, engineering, and testing. After all, Vortech rose to fame through the Mustang platform. Guess who is supplying Stillen with their head unit?

I mean, look at the testing Ford is doing for their own supercharger kit. There's no doubt in my mind that this information will trickle throughout the aftermarket industry.

I thought Ford beefed up the crank, connecting rods and godknows what, to handle a lot more power?

That's what I'm talking about! "Aftermarket Prep"

I believe the Shelby 500 also has beefed half-shafts on the rear-end.
