I got those from GTM. Sam bundled it with the kit for me but you can buy the plugs from them separately. I think HKS is the only company selling colder plugs for VQ37VHRs.

Sam was playing around with the set and gain on boost controller to get the best/earlier power curve. The spring tension on the wastegate was too soft so the turbo was not making as much boost as possible. But that's been fixed.

I have to wonder what differences exist between this and the 370Z's engine bay. All too often even 1/8" makes all of the difference between a header that falls right out and one that needs a one-on-one with a Sawz-All!

Simply amazed at your skills. I can see your hand start out nice at first then come out ripped up.

Did you ever feel at any point that you got in over your head? After reading this thread I am seriously considering doing this project on my 370. I know a guy in my club that used to work for one of the performance shops back east. I could probably talk him in to helping me plus my brother would love to come down to Denver and help out.

I'm sure you noticed the other thread offering a deal on a turbo kit for use of someones car for the filming of the install DVD. Should make the install easier, and give you the added benefit of being able to see what you are in for before even starting the installation.

Im just wondering if you had to tap the head or the turbo manifold for the studs... I dont think I would be ok with tapping anything into the heads.....

I had that feeling once or twice as the project dragged on. But there wasnt any step that was so hard that I felt like giving up.

I did have to tap two different locations. That was probably the hardest and riskiest part of the install. But its honestly not that bad. The holes were drilled already, you just need to thread the hole.

Props to you sir. That is awesome. I would have to do it at the auto hobby shop if I were going to atttempt an undertaking of this kind, but I am leaning more toward paying for installation, lol. I'm getting lazy these days.
