It depends on your boost goal. But for other parts in its internal, the stock head unit won't hold up for long if your using exactly the same setup as that redondoaveb is having. He ran and will be running 928's rebuilt blower.

Do you have the Sci or Si blower. If you have the Si then I wouldn't change the impeller.

Of course the 2.85 is going to overspin the blower so the ceramic bearings would be a good upgrade. But, Seb had told me that he knows a few people that are overspinning it with the stock bearings and they haven't had any issues.

I got one blown away with oil coming out of the shaft seal on stock internal for that RPM. So I'd not feel comfortable without the internal upgrades. With the Si and 9lb pulley, he will be seeing a little less than 11psi. This would suffice for most of the owners dding their cars.

True. That combo netted me 540whp on e85

You’re gonna want a much better intake with a big air filter. Others, including myself, have proven this is the best way to increase boost.

A better intake and larger filter will definitely increase boost over the stock filter, no one has posted any dyno comparisons though.

Are you doubting that an increase in boost results in an increase in power? Because that seems to be the whole presumption of this entire thread. “Parts needed to increase boost”. I assume he’s asking how to increase boost because he thinks the result will be an increase in power. If there is any doubt that will be the case, maybe we shouldn’t be recommending a different pulley either. Unless someone has a back to back dyno with a different pulley? Does that exist somewhere? I haven’t seen it. But even if he’s not looking for an increase in power, I addressed just his request for an increase in boost, and didn’t mention power.

I've done pulley upgrades and have the dyno sheets showing the results. They've been posted on the forum. No one is doubting that a different intake and larger filter will increase boost over the stock filter, I would just like to see comparisons. It might convince me to go back to a filter. I actually posted a dyno sheet comparing two screens, the turbo guard against the ngr screen. It showed a 1 psi and 30whp loss with the ngr screen. Here it is.

Another option for flex, especially if you’re getting a gauge of some kind is an ECB-1. With that setup, I did not need any additional electronics, like the ECA-2.

https://www.innovatemotorsports.com/products/ecb1.php

I would just like to mention to all, that with Flex fuel , the electronics for whatever you use to monitor ethanol, need to be powered DURING cranking, when most accessories shut off. So my gauge for example, which tells the ECU how much E% I have, is powered when the fuel pump turns on.
