Im not worried about them copying my kit since Nic was bashing it publicly on facebook.

However, I am curious how aggressive he went with the tune. Im thinking he definitely held back. I mean its very obvious he wouldnt try to push this kit as hard as his/my old kit to get higher numbers. I cant blame him as that would be foolish on his part.

When my customer asked him about the video they posted on Youtube of making 601whp on 93 he said it is because their intercooler is that much better. Which is also funny because that owner of the 601whp car is stating he has a 550+whp car on facebook. Why wouldnt he say 600+? Maybe he went to a different dyno and it barely broke 550.

Data.. redondoaveb went from 665whp on my Gen 1 to 680whp on the Soho kit at 17psi. Same Dyno, Same Tuner (sebastian). So at 14psi I am guessing that would have been a 5-10whp gain.

However, this Gen 2 intercooler is much bigger than that Gen 1 so if anything it could even make more power if Redondoaveb were to do another comparison with the Ace kit. Yet Soho told this customer theirs makes 40whp more due to the intercooler...LOL.

Theres still plenty of guys out there that dont have this data or care and just believe what they are told due to lack of knowledge.

Since I'm being mentioned here, I should clarify/add a couple things. Seb was actually able to get 657 out of the gen 1 kit but it was maxed out. He said he could have gotten 750 out of the Soho kit but didn't want to push the stock block so he stopped at 680. I see no reason why he wouldn't be able to get 750 out of the Ace kit either. The timing was wrong and I already had the Soho kit installed prior to the Ace kit being released or I would have had it installed to show the power that the kit is capable of. Also, keep in mind, Soho made 711 on the Topgunz gen 1 kit which is a record for a stock block motor.

If you had to control power on your last head unit then why did you upgrade to a different unit for more power? Going built block?

I'm not necessarily going for more power with the new head unit. The new head unit will give me more torque at a lower rpm. But, since I'm running the wastegate, I may push the power level higher and set that as the high boost setting for special circumstances and use low boost or spring pressure for daily driving.

And, I was way overspinning the V3, it was living on borrowed time even without that shitty 928 impeller. The V2 H/D Ti will be able to handle the higher rpm.

I have been eyeing your kit since the beginning and was bummed to see SOHO seemingly copy the setup and then use FB to promote it.

I will add that it's funny to see Admin Tuning and SOHO exclusively promote themselves on FB. Nick seemed to post here occasionally, but my opinion is that he knows the forum would back you and cause him a headache. Same to be said for Admin vs R/T, Seb, MA, etc.

Keep up the dedication to the platform! Your prior A2A kit was my Z goal and the new ACE Kit has taken its place!

Yeah, the first time I ever used facebook outside of keeping in touch with friends and family was when I built this new ACE kit to get the word around better. By that time Soho had their "followers" and I missed out on a lot of that audience. I really do not enjoy facebook.

I don't mind competition but it sucks when you are the one that comes up with the idea, take the time to turn it into a reality, spend the money to bring it to the community, then someone swoops in to steal it from under you. I beleive their exact words were "theres only 1 way to make an air to air kit for this stillen platform so we didnt have a choice, just like a cell phone, one company made it then others copied it"... Guess I proved that wrong.

And don't worry, I am dedicated to this platform and will always be coming out with something better.

Hey team! This kit looks amazing compared to other options out there!! I've got a bone stock motor with upgraded cooling for track days: bigger radiator plus oil cooler. I'm in Denver with roads varying from 5280ft (mile high) up to 11k ft on I70 for mountain drives.

- Has anyone installed this kit from stock?
- Has anyone used this kit at elevation?
- Are there additional mods for a highly stable/safe build? I've read about using the CJ fuel top hat, and something about an e85 sensor - but don't know the efficacy of those recommendations.

Note, I have a '08 Subaru spec.B @ 408awhp / 454awtq so I'm familiar with the boosted life...and e85 life for that matter lol

I can help out here...

Lots of guys have installed this kit from stock. What questions do you have surrounding this? I can email you the install instructions if that helps.

BTW. When I developed my Gen 1 kit it was in my garage when I lived in Denver. Miss that place. This thing would be a blast going up pikes peak, backside of Evergreen and boulder canyon to name few!

Mods should be FRS, Resonated Test pipes, AFR and Boost gauge. If you are going E85 its nice to know what E content you have unless you have flex fuel tuning.

Hit up Jason at demarsjcd@gmail.com He is in Englewood CO. He just finished his install and his car is at the shop getting his new amuse bumper painted. BTW. Thanks, this is very helpful! Heh yeah I love it here...having two mountain road carvers would be great though the Z is fun now...the spec.B is like a toy and just does anything I want heh.

This is the first I’ve heard of test pipes - would that be ok to do at a later point? I’m hoping to work on this by myself for now since all the garages are busy and then get it tuned by boostcreep or 5250 at some later point - and could have them do the test pipes before the tune.

Tell me more about the flex fuel tuning - what’s needed to pull that off?
My spec.B is a pain to have to measure the e content all the time and load the appropriate e70 or e85 maps I have; and if the Z could be flex that’d be dreamy.

You'll need a Zeitronix kit installed and a custom tune with Ecutek. I went with Eugene Turkov for tuning and running the Zeitronix flex fuel kit. Super convenient being able to pump without having to test the content. Highly recommend reaching out to him!

Hey Guys,
Just got my car back from RT Tuning with the SC installed. Came back with some pretty solid dyno numbers for a car that has almost 70k miles. 543 Whp and 426 Tq @ 14 Psi on 93 Octane. First I want to thank Aaron for making an awesome kit and the constant improvements that he makes to this kit. His dedication to his craft is unparalleled. Secondly, I'd like to thank Erik, Vince and the rest of the guys at RT Tuning for all of their knowledge and advice thru this whole process.
The only issue that I am left with is the annoying chirping/fluttering of the Tial BOV between 2.5k and 3.5k Rpm at low to mid throttle. I know this issue has been addressed numerous times here and the most common fix recommended is to increase the spring pressure in the BOV. Has anyone tried this with success? And also I am thinking about possibly trying out the Precision Turbo 50mm BOV. If anyone has any input, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
