There is a check valve in the zerk that will keep it from running out.

Edit: If you are talking about loss of volume, the zerk is already full of grease.

Being that the fitting is facing down id assume gravity would essentially puddle the grease into the fitting. Obviously the fitting needs to be accessible to re-grease but didn't know if this could be something that needs to be discussed. I understand that it wouldn't run out. I'm having a hard time describing what I'm trying to say. Basically there really isn't that much grease in there already which is the only way the bearings get lubed. If the zerk fitting is facing down as the grease heats up it turns into a liquid essentially turning the zerk fitting into a cup of liquid grease. Since the fitting is facing down all the liquid grease just ends up puddling into the fitting and not into the turbo bearings where it is needed. I think I'm just looking way too far into this....it just crossed my mind when my zerk fell out and I had to reinstall one into my Comp Turbo.

5 pumps is way, way more than could possibly rest in that tiny zerk fitting. Single pump would still be too much.
