I know things are tight in that area; a couple pics of the setup on a fire truck w/450hp/1250tq 9L Cummins....looks like a shark tail plumbed to the front. 1.5-2”

1.5-2” wide maximum; but tall & inlet is to the inside portion w/screen over top...plenty of air
