Wow. That's impressive.

I'm still blown away by your build (and the other 800+ cars). 500whp in one of these is a rocket. I can't imagine adding another 300+ to it.

I am sure it will one day when it is colder. 50 deg or below. The tires will spin but it is a graceful dance.

You should come visit Austin. You've done the drive before with the trailer :rofl2:

Just filled up with E85. Only 385 gallons left in the tank at the filling station. I tried to reserve my 9 gallons for tomorrow. LOL One more day of Sun before the hurricane messes everything up.

Damn, there I was rejoicing that it didn't go south towards me.

If it makes it that far up I hope it chills the **** out before it reaches you

It is where I work. We are responsible for North Florida and South Ga. Last years hurricane in Panama City was one of our area. It was total destruction. 2016 we had Hurricane Hermine come through. I totally hate Hurricane season. We have had to deal with one or several for the last 4 years.

R compound tires take some heat to get in them under 60*!

Fortunately, the cities around my area area about 50/50 but you don't have to travel far to get into the looney left cities. They're easy to spot though. Crime ridden, rundown, filled with homeless. Area's you don't want to be in anyway.

Ugg, threw another TPMS sensor off the band due to the band breaking. I am done with those pieces of crap. They are all coming off my car today. I'll just deal with the TPMS light. I hate those things. Shop didn't want to do it because they were booked up. I then had to convince them otherwise.

sirnixalot 08-30-2019 10:07 AM

have you seen where people just put them inside some capped PVC pipe with an air valve on it?

LOL, I will just deal with the light. I can ignore it.

I've done that. The pcv pipe will leak air through it. It's liquid tight, but not air tight. You have to use nitrogen or some other big molecule gas so that you're not topping off the pressure every other week. The other thing is the size of the container you make. Bigger the longer between top-offs. I even tried to use Slime inside the container. To only to gum things up.

Spooler 08-30-2019 07:19 PM

Car rode smooth as silk. That stinkin TPMS light can flash all it wants to. I had actually slung 2 off the bands. So, I drove the car 2 days total. I have just been having a dang good time driving it. LOL

JARblue 08-31-2019 12:56 AM

The TPMS are probably malfunctioning and falling off because you drive too slow :twocents:

Seb wasn't wilingl to say out right that my ported lower was the reason for my increase in torque but my last tune was after four years on with turbos and she made more power.

Does anyone know if I get the Ecutek Bluetooth dongle can I see all 4 wheel speed sensors and log them. When my tires are a touch cold the car will wiggle in the back end back and forth under hard acceleration. I need to check and see if both rear wheel speed sensors are reporting the same speed to ensure the diff is locked up all the way. If they are not, I will need to tighten up the clutch packs. My current OS Giken 1.5 way is setup for stock power as all of them are from the factory.

The more I think about it I think I am going to need it retuned. The tires were hot today when this happened. I had been driving for 45min. to an hour. It doesn't happen going straight. I happens on my favorite right turn on my way home. 60mph and up sweeper. When I eased back on the throttle I could feel the rear slipping so I just held it there. Then she wiggled a bit and hooked up. Ugg. More investigation is needed. I will need to make a few phone calls. OS Giken LSD's are not easy to setup. They have several adjustments that can be made.

Before spending any money try adjusting your rear tire pressure first. I and other run rear tire pressure about 2 pounds less than the fronts. Also, my experience with the prior generation, Toyo R888 they would get greasy and behave the way you are describing when they were over heated. So my suggestion is drop your current rear tire pressure by 2 psi and give it a try.

Another thing to consider is that you have been ripping on those tires since you got the car back. Granted you don't track your car however the inside of your rear tires may be wearing and therefore you don't have the same traction on curves as you do in straights. This is very common at the track as your tires fall off.

Thanks Hotrodz. I will drive it some more and play with the tire pressures. Come to think of it, I need to check them anyway since I had all the TPMS sensors removed. They may have set them to 35psi. I prefer them to be around 32 when cold. I have been having one hell of a good time. LOL

Hotrodz 09-11-2019 10:51 PM

You don't want them more than 36 psi hot. 34 to 36 is the sweet spot!

Yeap, they were 35psi cold. I corrected them to my settings. I have
been so busy I forgot to check.

It appears I have made the car hook even better than before. LOL, I will check my favorite corner tomorrow. I had to go to the grocery store on the way home today. :)

Start a note book on the change you make on the suspension and tires. It will help keep track of the good and bad setting. Everytime you make a change. Record it.

I don't need one. It is committed to memory in my head. I have Elephant disease. At least that is what the guys at work call it.

What did you set your cold pressures at?

Noop, I don't remember useless information. Waste of brain power. Technical information, Yes.

Spooler 09-13-2019 09:25 AM

Well, I can't say I haven't blown the tires off anymore. I did this morning getting on the interstate. Too much throttle too quick just lit them up. LMAO. I have found the limit in 2nd on cold tires. It was 70 deg. For folks that don't know, you don't just floor the go pedal in a turbo car. You roll into the throttle. That is why I struggle with a NA car so much. My brain and foot are programmed for a turbo car because that is normally what I drive. Been that way since 1992.
