I think the VQ is exactly the platform they want. Or else they wouldn't be trying to push like they are. Anyone with half a brain would have moved to different platforms for specific goals long ago.

Lol you are right, but just like with every import that has had its set backs it takes a lot of failing to finally get it right. If soho’s Motors hold up I’m sure we will be seeing a lot of more big power VQ’s getting developed and being much faster.

Or if Mazworx can get it right first try. The game will be on. I got 20 days to figure out if this is the right move or if I should go another route. Still pondering on what to do. So many unknowns.

I'm rootin' for you...
I went down to MA (talked with Jon about Mazworx) on Thursday to test drive my car before picking it up.
It's faster than it ever was now that they've replaced the defective AAM BW 7163 Turbo.
It broke 'em loose pretty good when I punched it in 3rd gear.
(Low boost on pump gas)
Visions of going in to the wall at the strip then occurred.
A few other little tweaks while it's still down there and I'll be happy as a clam.
I'll be mindful to be careful with it (at least for a time) when it's all done tho'.
Don't want to risk it failing again so soon...my $$$ money tree $$$ has done lost it's leaves.

Interesting fact: Ten other people have called Mazworx about the VQ37VHR headgasket issue since I started talking to him. I only know of one other person. WOW, this thread get's around.

Not only your thread but the forum as a whole is the place to get the most reliable information on the platform.

I probably wont make myself popular in this thread, but: where exactly do you guys intend to use these 900hp cars effectively?

If you want to drag race, buy something with 4wd and launch controll (GTR or what not). If you want to use it on race tracks or areas like nurburgring/tail of the dragon, I'm sure 700hp does the trick (lack of driver skill outweighs horsepower). If you want a fast street car for rolling race, there usually isnt much out there on a regular Friday night that's really much faster.

Maybe the VQ is just not the best platform to pursue what you guys want?

Come to Texas.

Skip to 18:15. He starts talking about copper gaskets, aluminum rings and things.

Saw that. Everyone has their own way of doing things. I can't say anymore than that.

Talking by himself I get real sleepy. When he interviews someone he is awesome.
