Topgunz - air to air upgrade

Thanks topgunz for the all the questions you answered. My tuner was Nick@ Fastech Motorsport. He was amazed by this kit for what it did and how easy was installation.

Isn't there is bumper you can buy that clears the intercooler? Not bumper cover but the bumper.

Download the install guide off Stillen's site. You want to remove the belt and then unbolt the mounting bracket that holds the pulleys and the supercharger.

Default Air to Air intake upgrade

Thought you all might be interested in an intake mod for the air to air kit. A fair bit of design and engineering went in to this over the last few months. Along with the air intake upgrade I had the supercharger rebuilt with upgraded Si trim impeller/compressor. The main benefit of all this is more torque in the mid range. Other benefits are a much bigger/better air filer resulting in better breathing, no need to remove the sc to replace the filter and much better/easier adjustment of jack shaft tension.

What diameter piping were you able to fit in there? 2.5"

Wow you had a cast coupler made?! Thats pretty cool. Id love to see some before and after with the short filter vs this cast intake with conical.

Nice work!

Thanks and yes a cast aluminium coupler!

Before and after.

First is stock Stillen, second is air to air and third is the new intake.

You can notice the max power and torque being reached at progressively less rpm over the 3 graphs.

I received an email from a guy in Texas about my extra pulley kit and thought I would share the information.

I have a Stillen S/C Kit & 129,000 miles of experience with it.
I'm interested in purchasing your add-on idler-pulley & HD Belt KIT that puts extra 'wrap' on the front jackshaft pulley.
Can you help me out ? I hope you are still active with the Z's.
I bought mine new in 2009 -> 189,000 miles now & work on it myself.
I rip camaro ss, mustang gt, 328 bimmers, turbo'd 4 bangers all day long.
Last gt that baited me, I pointed for him to go, & afterwards he just rolled down his window, & shook his head like 'why did I do that' haha I'm Speed Density tuned by Sebs using ecutek.

His kit shipped out this morning.
