Sad to hear that. I was really looking forward to your kit. Now I'll have to look into pricing out a stillen kit and all the upgrades along with your A2A kit. There's been a lot of talk of impellers and pulley upgrades. Would it be possible for you to add a section in your first post of this thread that outlines the recommended upgrades to optimize the gains with this kit so we can have all that info in one easy to find location? Also what kind of numbers can we expect with those upgrades and your a2a kit?

I was informed that my pictures no longer show up on the 1st page of the thread, among others, and looked and yes, they are not there. So I went on to Photobuckets site to "get 3rd party sharing" and they want $400 a year to share!!!!

So, anybody know the best way/site to upload pics to/from for free?

The forum itself will host pics for you... that is what I am doing when posting pics here..

I use google photos to store my stuff, but getting links out of it to embed here is painful and unsupported.

This :hello:

acorona370 08-30-2017 02:48 PM

now that the 9lbs pully is discontined. ill be doing the Vortech 2.95 pulley PN 2A038-295. replacing the idler pulley with Gates #36225. -Thanks to tbatt sharing the knowledge.

The impeller i have to send in the whole blower in for the si impeller right?
sorry for the noob question. When i read thru the thread people say "si trim" "si upgrade" and "si impeller" are all these different?:confused:

Yes Si Trim Si Upgrade and Si Impeller are all the same thing. You can replace the impeller urself but it wont be warrantied. Most people turn it into Vortechfl for the warranty and also so they can get their bearings upgraded...which is also recommended. The bearings that we have are designed for SCi....changing the impeller will will increase boost thus working the blower harder.

928 Motorports also does upgrades but they are pricier.

When I called Vortech they told me they don't upgrade the bearings, only the impeller. It must be 928 that has the option to upgrade the bearings.

Vortech offers a bearing/seal replacements at an additional cost when you do the SI upgrade. Correct, 928 has the high speed bearings.

I believe Z1 is continuing the 9 lb pulley, but I think they are upping the price.

[strike] I must have spoken with someone who didn't know much. I told them about a separate bearing upgrade, how others do it on the forums, etc. They were quite confident and sure Vortech doesn't do ANY bearing upgrades to the supercharger.

Glad I didn't do it yet! Now I know to speak with someone else from their team if they don't know about it. [/strike]

EDIT: I can't read!! Vortech has bearing replacement, 928 has the upgrade.

I've been trying to find out what pulley Z1 is using for the upgrade so I will know if my kit is compatible. I asked them "is the 9psi pulley they have the same as the Stillen or is it different?" there answer was "yes". Now I am 50% confident it is compatible...........

The Z1 price is currently at $155 which is less than the Stillen and more than the Vortech.

Does Stillen still offer the 9psi pulley? I was going to order the one from Z1 but if you're not sure if it'll work with your kit them I'm going to hold off.

It appears Concept Z has the Stillen pulley

I take deposits because I can not promise 15 people I have kits when I am only making 7. The first 7 guys to either pay in full or send a deposit "lock" in a kit. The deposit is $200.

I had started designing a supercharger kit of my own but I am just far too busy with life (and A2A kits) to get that complete any time soon, which may never get done. For now it is just the A2A kit.

PM'D you for a kit.. let me know where I can send my deposit
