EBC is definitely worth it as gate springs will flutter up top. The controller will keep boost constant. Getting one with boost by gear won't cost much more just take a little more to install. Not sure if RJM helps with pressure but it can be adjusted to give you a larger contact window which I brought up because you said you didn't want an on/off switch.
