You can get the older style gauge for like 171 dollars on ebay with all the senors; seems like a steal to me. I am really looking for that GReddy one with three sensors. It would have boost, oil temp and oil pressure, I would then get a Invoate A/F along with a pillar pod. Thanks for all the advice guys, hopefully this weekend I can put up a few pictures before the work starts.

Have a look at the new multi gauges from Innovate Motorsports Digital Monitoring Products, Tuning Tools, & Controllers. Innovate Motorsports

Have you guys seen inovates new combined boost controler gauge/ wideband afr gauge? It is a boost controller, boost gauge, afr gauge, and it has afr to boost feedback so it can cut boost if you go lean = the shiz

Edit: check out the scg1

I really like that setup. However we have two waste gates......

That's not a problem. Just hook the solenoid up prior to teeing off to the two waste gates. That's how my boost control is hooked up now.

I will preface that I did not research the gauge in question.

GaleForce 01-30-2016 04:11 AM

I've been running an SCG-1 since it first came out. It's good stuff.

Love the pic GaleForce..... Your car is so sexy....:). Think I will def be going with that gauge and boost controller. It must fit your pillar which I will be buying soon...:) One more thing, I think I'm going to get should of sasha and make an order change. I ordered open dump waste gates. Upon even more research I think they'll be way too loud. And I want to try and see if I can change to a hks bov.

hc_416 01-30-2016 10:23 AM

I did look at the sg 1, I did not like that it had no boost by gear, so I went with the profec. I could not find the GReddy gauge but I was told in q-2-3 they will be releasing a new gauge. I do like the temp/af from Invoate but I am being a little indecisiveness. Going to work on the clutch next. I will email Zspeed to see if they have a Soutbend equivalent of a twin disk.

TcRocket 01-30-2016 10:36 AM

Yeah the boost by gear would be really nice. 1st gear is going to be a handful. Innovate does not have the boost by gear from what I see but I really like the gauge. My right foot can be the boost control too lol

The best way to set that up is to just run WG pressure in first and second gear and then full boost third and up. You aren't going to get traction in first even at WG pressure WOT. I typically short shift first into second.

TcRocket 01-30-2016 10:46 AM

And I definitely want to go with a twin disc clutch. Was definitely looking into southbend and hd csc

Twin disc is likely going to suck driving as a daily. No matter what upgrade the CSC to either the ZSpeed HD or Z1 elimination kit. Seb sells a Tilton racing CSC but it's a bear to install.

There's also an aftermarket CMC too that you might want to look at. Came out recently and I've only heard of one guy running it. To some guy on myG37. At bear minimum buy a replacement OEM CMC and install it with the new clutch. Our CMC seem to be a one time use item. If you are doing the install yourself, don't use a power bleeder in the clutch system. The OEM CMC has weak seals and you'll ruin it.

zguynate 01-30-2016 11:54 AM

My OS Giken twin disk wasn't that bad to drive. Granted it wasn't my DD either.

Like Jwick said, pick up a CMC while you're at it. Or you can order a rebuild kit for it for like $25. It's really easy to rebuild, which is what I have been doing so that I don't have to drop $100 every time. After the fluid drains out of the CMC, it becomes a turd.

jwick 01-30-2016 01:07 PM

Brain fart. Must of had too much bourbon last night. Z1 elimination does work with BP kit.

stefonelee 01-30-2016 02:10 PM

Anyone running a aftermarket radiator with the bp kit? If so what kind

Yes. CSF.

hc_416 01-30-2016 03:42 PM

I read about the O.S. Giken twin disc with the grand touring spec, and what I read made it sound like it was a little firmer, but not to bad for dd? Does anyone have this clutch?

He is currently on vacation, will return next week. :tiphat:

TcRocket 02-03-2016 07:57 AM

Yeah I seen that on another thread yesterday. Guess we are paying for his vacation lol. Any of you guys running a turbo timer?

Nope. Just take it easy for the last mile or so before you turn the car off and make sure oil temps are close to thermostatic temperature.

TcRocket 02-03-2016 10:00 AM

OK cool. One more thing. How about monitoring egt. I'm running stock block with 11:1 compression. How much worry is there of too much heat in exhaust gas temps melting pistons. My car will be professionally tuned and will prob go with innovate boost control so I can have safe cut for af

Most of us are stock block too. I don't monitor EGTs.

I got lucky and found it on ebay. I getting from some guy in Japan. He has two left, you can get one from the link. I also bought the sensor's and harness. I ended up paying around 400 for all the items needed for install.

hc_416 02-06-2016 08:48 PM

How big of a deal is it if I dont have a AFR gauge?

Next to boost, afr is probably the most important one.

Considering most boost controllers read your boost levels as well, I would consider your A/F ratio gauge to be your #1 gauge to have to watch/maintain.

Is everything you are getting what is pictured? Reason I ask is I don't see the main unit. All I see is the gauge dial and the sensors.

hc_416 02-08-2016 09:29 AM

Well bad news, that Greddy gauge I bought was a fake..... Yea i'm a dumbass.... So i am just going to go with the innovate gauges, an afr and Oil temp/pressure. Any advice were I can get a fair price and all the sensor's I need?

I was questioning it when I saw it was less than $100. I paid $525 new when it was still available just for the Multi-gauge and two sensors. The extra 2 sensors were over $100/ea.

Sorry to hear you got scammed. Did you pay with PayPal?

I got pretty good prices from THMotorsports. They are a vendor on here so you can probably PM them what you need and see what they best package forum member price is for what you need.

I got both the Innovate SCG-1 and the Innovate MTX-D Oil off of eBay. I haven't had the need/want for another gauge as of yet.
