I havnt dynoed yet .....wanted to get new pulley first ......and from what I'm calculating the 85mm should be around 10-11 lbs at 7k rpm .......that should have me at like 90130 supercharger rev. The 84mm is at like 97k at 7.5k rpm .......but mainly I wanted the boost sooner in the rpm range and rather not redline the car. ......also I have gamma tweaking my tune before I dyno it .....I wanna see how close the etune will be ....then I'll compare the gains to custom tune.

Also keeping the uprev .......I hope they upgrade there software to compete with ecutec

Elmo370z 04-03-2016 01:27 AM

Last I heard they were upgrading the software

Ya I wanna see the numbers when u get that pulley for sure, maybe ill grab one in the summer

Uprev is working on some software upgrades aswell,a few tuners here in Canada I spoke with said they should be available by summer, iam loviin this ecutek so far tho, tons of options from timing to launch control

Jinxx 04-04-2016 03:04 PM

85 mm is installed ..went in with no issues ..I will be testing and data logging and will be planning a dyno run soon

Jinxx 04-04-2016 03:39 PM

So first test run ....was at 10lbs at 7k rpms .....just where I was wanting to be ....boost comes on much sooner now ...feels much better ....now I got to make plans for a dyno run to see where I'm at and how far my tune is off

Z eliminator 04-04-2016 05:21 PM

Is the stage 2 kit a C38 91 or C38 92 blower.
Did any body else order a stage 3 up grade. ? kit

thanks
Z

Jinxx 04-04-2016 05:42 PM

This is the stage 2 38-92 charger.........at 7k is at 90.1 revs with the 85mm pulley
I'm thinking if pushed to 7.5k it would be 12 lbs ...but over spinning the charger at 97k

What is the stage 3 upgrade ? I havnt seen anything for that

Isent ours c38-91 jinxx?almost positive that's the model#

So you are close to overspinning the sc unit with that 85mm pulley?did you reuse the same serpentine belt?the price is amazing on the pulley,I'll wait for your results before I pull the trigger.

Jinxx 04-04-2016 06:45 PM

You are correct it is the 38-91 .....for some reason I was thinking the 91 was e stage 1 and the stage two was the 92 ...........the stage one is e 38-81 and the stage two is the 38-91
I am using the same belt as with the 92mm pulley .....and the charger is maxing out at 7k rpms.....which is what I wanted ...didn't want to have to redline the car to get the boost ...boost is much earlier in the rpm range now .......and the pulley was like 95bucks with shipping took like 30 mins to install as well

Also if you do push the car to 7.5 rpms you will be at 97k on the supercharger

tiller 04-06-2016 03:17 PM

Hey jinxx where is the level in your sc reservoir when cold and when idling?

Jinxx 04-06-2016 03:52 PM

You have to check level while car isn't running .......I keep mine at just under max .....which is a little more than recommended...... When I first installed the kit I was checking level while car was running. And thought level was low and kept adding ....then when I found out car had to be off to check level.....I was up to close to max ....and it has been there since .....and the price on the traction fluid is crazy ...like 130 bucks for a quart ....

Ya the Manuel says check while running almost like a auto trans, iam a 3rd full when cold then max while running.

Seen the price for the fluid on the kraftwerks site, crazy

Do you have a dyno date yet?

Jinxx 04-06-2016 10:32 PM

I'm about 2/3 full cold ..... I have a Dyno about 5 mins from the house so I can get in really fast ..... But haven't set a day yet .... Might try to get it soon .... Still waiting on a tweak on my tune from gamma .... He was looking at it yesterday so should be long I hope

tiller 04-14-2016 08:32 PM

Update

Installing an innovate lc2 AFR gauge kit to keep an eye on things and help with data logging for my final tune, car runs good so far, idle logs done, just waiting on the horrible weather to clear up and snow to melt.

Jinxx 04-15-2016 03:20 PM

I'm trying to get in a shop Monday for a Dyno run just to see the numbers ... Most shops are booked up and trying to squeeze me in

Cool, let me know some numbers when you get them, very curious

Jinxx 04-17-2016 12:28 AM

I'm still on the can tune so I don't expect very good numbers ..... However the pulley change made my data logs look better

tiller 04-17-2016 08:05 AM

Ecutek and seb at specialty have been amazing so far man, amazing customer service

Jinxx 04-18-2016 12:34 PM

soooo I dynode the car today ...... car was maxing injectors out so I need to upgrade...unless I have room to increase the fuel with the 650cc ... as it was it made 480whp and 350tq @7200 rpms but started leaning out around 6500 rpms and at 7200 was around 12.8 afr.... I don't know how to post a pic or vid yet ill post it when I figure it out

Jinxx 04-18-2016 02:32 PM

1 Attachment(s)
first dyno run can tune .......the 480whp is a 5th gear pull...the 390whp is a fourth gear pull [ATTACH]

TopgunZ 04-18-2016 02:59 PM

90 whp difference in 5th gear?

What max psi did you hit?

I didn't get the psi off the 4th gear pull but I got it for the 5th gear .. 12.3 lbs at 7200

tiller 04-18-2016 05:53 PM

What kind of dyno is it?you should be able to hit 500whp on 650 injectors on 12lbs of boost,do you think the uprev is holding you back?where's your wideband o2 mounted on pipe

Jinxx 04-18-2016 10:32 PM

It's a dynojet .... Not sure if I have any adjustment left in the tune ... I never installed the voltage regulator for the fuel system Seb says at this point voltage regulator won't help and I could verify the fuel pressure .. If it's a pressure drop tunning would help if pressure doesn't drop then I could tune it but recommends me going to return fuel system ..... Not sure how I wanna go about it yet ... Prolly should just do the return kit

I'd call cjm,I've had great dealings with them

Jinxx 04-20-2016 09:03 PM

I talked to him today ... I think the return will the best route to take .... Always something .... But still I can't complain too much

Are you going with ecutek?

Jinxx 04-23-2016 09:45 PM

No not going with ecutek ..... I'll hold out for a while for up rev to update

tiller 04-24-2016 12:12 PM

We're you able to see where exactly your fueling issues on the dyno were happening?like rpm wise?do you have an FPR gauge on your rail?

Jinxx 04-24-2016 02:41 PM

I don't have a fuel pressure gauge ...and I think it would have been fine with the 92mm pulley and prolly a little rich .....but after changing to the 85mm pulley the boost comes on much sooner and running 40-50% more boost ..requiring more fuel ..once I get the return fuel system to be able to increase the fuel pressure as boost increases it should be good...I would think the 92mm would have ran around 450ish whp.....

Stock fuel pressure is 52 ...as boost increases it drops soooo with 8lbs pulley fuel pressure would be 44lbs which would support the boost ...with the 12lbs pulley pressure would be around 40lbs and not enough for the boost .....no real way to increase it without the return system

Even 450whp is alot on these cars, hows it on the road, like traction etc, break loose alot?

Jinxx 04-24-2016 03:25 PM

You will lose traction if you are aggressive with the clutch ......when I was running everytime I shifted gears it would break traction ...back end would kick out a little each gear ....I really like the difference between the 92 and 85 pulley tho ....power comes on much sooner

Ya I ordered the 85mm to have on stand by already lol, haven't even driven the car yet, can't beat that price,I'll be taking it out this Sunday for a ride with no bumper to make sure blow off valve is adjusted properly then I'll update on my boost experience :happydance:

Hooked up my innovate db gauge with lc2 to log for seb at specialtyz, everything looks good in the AFR department so far

Jinxx 04-26-2016 05:43 PM

You will need the fuel return system with that pulley

But .... That pulley is sooooo much better lol

Ya iam happy to run the 92mm for now,iam sure it will be enough boost ,car hasent even been on the road yet and I got the pulley for future fun lol

Jinxx 04-28-2016 03:37 PM

Why go through the retuning ..... Slap it on there pay for one tune and be done that's the main reason I haven't done the custom tune yet ... Wanna make sure I have what I needed ...pulley ... And fuel system to support it .... The tune once and all fun after that .......till it blows lol

Sebs real good, he will set me up on either pulley

Built short block is next lol

tiller 04-30-2016 09:39 PM

Got an oil leak on oil cooler line from gamma, waiting on gamma for replacement line

Jinxx 04-30-2016 11:15 PM

I got my oil cooler from z1 ....hoses were serviceable and I had to cut them down shorter ... Still have enough hose to replace the lines if needed

tiller 05-01-2016 07:33 PM

What did you decide on for a fuel return system?
