We have mocked up a tool so we do not have to take off the exhaust manifold and tighten the bolts down. Good to know about re-using the bolt for the chassis, will see how I can go about getting it off the old engine mount.

My mistake, they supplied a bolt to go thru mount n thru chassis and I think reused nut, stock mount had a threaded stud going downward thru chassis that was tightened with nut.

tiller 06-22-2016 03:45 PM

I just sacrificed an Allen key that fit new bolts into block, cut a piece off the Allen key and then tightened it with a wrench that fit,its going into an aluminum block so you do t a crazy amount of torque.

Ah, ok, then I need the bolt.

Sitting at Z1 waiting on tune to be done ... Hope it doesn't go boom

Jinxx 07-05-2016 05:19 PM

So after final tuning from John at Z1 he came back out and said 511whp in 4th gear pull and 523 who 5th gear pull on 11.5 lbs ....so far car feels great runs smoother and pulls really hard .....when he emails me the Dyno sheet I'll post them up

TBatt 07-06-2016 09:21 AM

I hope to be on the Z1 dyno soon. I had to replace my fuel pump. I want to get a few more miles on the car before I commit to driving it so far (~3 1/2 hours).

Great numbers Jinxx! Was this on EcuTek?

That was with uprev.....and I had to drive like 4 hours myself ..I waited like 3 weeks after I installed the return fuel system to make sure there wasn't any issues.

I wanna get the dyno charts ...I forgot to ask the tq numbers

tiller 07-06-2016 09:04 PM

Awesome man, great numbers, cant wait to see what you got for torque numbers.😁

Any Dyno sheets yet from z1?

Jinxx 07-10-2016 03:01 PM

If you're looking to make more power, i can link you up with someone i know who made 700whp on a blower. His made that power on a 350, don't know if it was a de, de rev up or hr.

Jinxx 07-13-2016 05:32 AM

I don't think there is much more I can do with the kit.... Other than converting over to E85 ... With the pulley I have now I'm right at over spinning the supercharger ... Anything else I do would have to be internal work ... .. I think I'll just keep it where it's at respectable numbers for a daily drive

What was the next size of pulley in between our original and the 88mm? 90mm?

Jinxx 07-14-2016 04:46 PM

Gamma sizes are 84-88-92-96 you have to source other sizes

Wonder how the 88mm would work, thats around 10lbs I'd imagine

Jinxx 07-14-2016 10:37 PM

Yea 88 would be 10-11 lbs ...I just like the 85 for boost sooner and not redline the car for it

Also the 88mm is the most popular size

theDreamer 07-15-2016 08:52 AM

88 is what most people want, it gets good boost levels, barely over spins the SC at 7500RPMs.
Questions, Gamma sent me what they think is the bolt that goes from the new engine mount to the chassis but I do not think it is correct. Anyone have the specs on the bolt, at this point I might just go buy one from the hardware store and be done with it?

If I remember right it was just a nut and bolt same size as the stock one .....and I think I used the stock one any way also if my math was correct the 85mm is at 90130 rpm sat 7k and around 95000 at 7.5 k

The stock one that is in the rubber portion of the engine mount?

Jinxx 07-15-2016 08:59 PM

I thought he was meaning the single bolt from the foot of the motor mount to the chassis

I'm prolly wrong tho ... I was drinking a lot during my install

If your questioning it ,you can for sure find one at a hardware store that would work,i believe the bolt just dropped thru from top and nut on bottom,i tightened it with impact then torqued it,if you look back in my build theres probably a pic of it,its was just a generic bolt.

tiller 07-16-2016 08:03 AM

There's a pic of it on page 2

Took a look, seems similar to the one we put in this weekend, the one we have worked and matched up to the nut we took off the original engine mount. It just seems like the bolt is just a tiny bit shorter than ideal but does work.

Getting my car slowly put back together with the help from Chuck, on the interesting side of things, I do now have a spare 88mm pulley as the one I took off my old seized SC is smaller (thinking it is the mythical 84mm pulley Sam never sold anyone). Planning out numbers so we do not over spin the SC but also make optimal power, chuck & I were playing ideas on what we could do to.

Good to hear you got it together.

I have the 85mm that jinxx has,not installed tho,iam thinking the 88mm would be real nice power, approx 10lbs of boost,i just don't want to kill the sc unit by over spinning it with the 85mm,hopefully jinxx will keep us posted on how his is performing over next few months,i plan to upgrade to cjm fuel system over this upcoming winter and a few other mods to.

Jinxx should be good if he shifts at 7k RPM, and also remember how often & how long you are at the top of the powerband. When we do my tune, the shift light will be reduced to 6800-7000 and probably dial back the top end for safety possibly but who knows...may as well just go for it!!

Ya might aswell go big lol, I drive my car at the top of the rev range most of the time, with the 92mm pulley it's great power, still get decent traction as long as iam smooth with clutch.

What tuning are you going with?

Jinxx 07-20-2016 05:42 AM

I actually Dynoed mine to 7.5k ... And from the graphs wasn't much more after 7k ... And for real world driving I would be shifting between 6.8k-7k that would be right at 90k on the supercharger .... Still drives well with no issues ( knock on wood )lol

I have my shift light set for 6.8k just to be safer

That sounds about right, I think even with the 1.5/2 kit (straighter pipes & more open), there are still some top end limitations somewhere. Either in the intercooler (SC is much much smaller than the TT guys) or on the back pressure side and keeping the overlap in check.

tiller 08-21-2016 03:34 PM

Hey jinxx how is the car running with the 85mm pulley?any updates?

Also did your blow off valve start to make a flutter sound before you had trouble with it the first time? Mine is still working fine just noticed that the sound has changed abit while shifting thru the gears, before it just sounded like it was releasing alot of air pressure off the gas but now it flutters abit, its still closing so it seems fine but maybe it needs to be tightend? These blow off valves are pretty new to me.

Everything is running fine no issues .. So far lol... And the valve could be sticking a little.. Mine stuck more when I had it set very loose .. I tighten it up a few turns and get very little flutter .. When mine stuck it was just stuck no air release then ... You can try loosing it a turn or two

Good to hear it's running good,id imagine it's pretty quick with that pulley now.

I lubricated the valve before installing,it seems to be working fine just all of a sudden the sound changed, I might pull the bumper and take a closer look

Jinxx 09-06-2016 10:23 AM

Hey tiller how is your car doing ...have you changed to the 85mm pulley yet ...and issues with it so far ?

Cars running great jinxx, still running the 92mm, seb changed timing slightly, ecutek works great, iam currently changing from 91 octane to 110 unleaded, ill do the cj fuel return and new pump hat over this upcoming winter then change to 85mm pulley for next summer, seb says running on 110 will make a huge difference for tuning and multiple other factors, prettty well gona have my own gas station in my garage for 110 lol

Jinxx 09-11-2016 04:07 PM

Yea I can imagine .. 110 with 85mm should put down 540 ish ... I daily drone mine so I needed 93octane tune ... You will like the 85mm tho boost much sooner

Ya my z isn't my daily driver so iam gona get 110 race fuel in 54 gallon drums, I've been using klotz octane accelerator lately and it helps alot and brings up octane alot that helps with knock and detonation.

Jinxx 09-12-2016 04:40 PM

Where you get that .. Never heard of it
