Will do thanks, iam pretty well finished disasembly,I'll be installing engine mount soon, are you using ecutek tunning?

Jinxx 12-12-2015 03:17 PM

I haven't put it on the Dyno yet ...and only been able to monitor the afr through the laptop with cipher ....I have a single a-pillar being made now and should be it in like 2 more weeks. I'm prolly gonna use the zeitronix zt-2 afr/boost gauge. Also the tune I got from Jon at z1 seems to be ok .. But I think it's still needs some work. Anyone know what numbers a nismo gets from the out of the box gtm tune on a stage 2?

One thing I did noticed when installing the motor mount on the passenger side ...the bolts through the new mount that go through the the red polyurethane bushings have about 1/4 inch extra thread once tight and it slightly touched transmission housing causing a tapping/spark knocking sound at lower rpms. Took me a whole week to find it ...I used a dremel to grind down a few thread of the bolt .....something I wished I did before installing.

I'm using the uprev to tune as well

clkio 12-12-2015 04:38 PM

Where are you getting it done? I am from Ontario as well, weather is above 9 degrees so not too bad :)

Doing it myself,I was a certified auto mechanic at a Toyota dealer for 10years,I enjoy tinkering in my garage on projects

Interesting,I just finished installing the pass side mount, the base of it touched rack bolt so I'd had to mod abit but I'll take a look at the bolts that you are talking about later, here's a pic I just took. Attachment 110401

No its winter where I am so iam waiting,I have time on my side, hoping gamma gets the ECU tek figured out, what are u running?

Jinxx 01-01-2016 09:08 AM

I have uprev ... It was included in the kit ... My can tune seems ok to start with and work out any bugs before a custom tune ...haven't really had any issues tho... I sent Jon at z1 the data logs for him to look over ... He was gonna adjust the throttle by wire lag issue and change the fan tables to turn them on a little sooner ....and look into maybe leaning it up some.

OK,so gammas not doing any of the ecutek for you?hows the power spread feel when you drive?I take it you can't drive the car with vdc on?

Jinxx 01-01-2016 09:59 AM

I didn't deal with gamma at all ....I went through z1 motorsports... I cN drive with vdc on with no issues just like stock if it breaks traction it kick throttle down .....pulls very hard compared to stock and really seems like a stock car with a lot more power. I just got my a-pillar yesterday and gonna order the zt-2 multi gauge after holidays.

Cool, multi gauge will be nice addition, did you have to mod any heat sheilds on passenger side header to fit the sc air filter so its not close to anything hot?

Jinxx 01-01-2016 08:11 PM

No all heat shields fit back in stock location with no issue

Do yuo remember if your filter was really close to block?mine sits real close,I've kept it all loose so I can spin intake tube but still seems close

Jinxx 01-02-2016 08:12 AM

You have to take off a piece and grind/cut it down ...and even after it is really close .....I actually thought about looking for a different size air filter to replace it with. The piece is a little black cover on the transmission and even after cutting it down it's still a tight fit

Ya I trimmed that little access cover on trans but still close,I was thinking the same thing about smaller filter, gona fool with it today and see how it's goes.

Jinxx 01-02-2016 09:59 AM

I did use the green filter that came with the the kit ...and yes it's very close ..even pushes on the filter a little. Not sure if there is a smaller filter to chose from that will flow what the charger needs tho.

Got filter in place, definitely should have been routed further back or over towards passenger wheel cuz its tight, got alternator in to,trying to go slow cuz winter is at least another 3months

Jinxx 01-03-2016 07:34 AM

Winter time is the time to install everything and work out the bugs ....have it prepped and ready for spring ....nothing worse than having your car in the shop when everyone is driving theirs.

The main guts of my kit are installed, alternator,PS pump, serpentine and tensioner are in,next will be fans and running oil feed for the sc pump, going smooth so far but I am trying to take my time cuz I have atleast 3 months of winter left.

Ya its getting there,I've got tons of time to complete, hey are you running the 600cc injectors?hows ur tune and hows it run with that size?iam lookin 725cc maybe so I can go up in boost in future but I don't want it to be too much fuel and ruin idle n drivability

Jinxx 01-10-2016 07:02 PM

I'm using 650cc with 11lbs pull idles fine .....has a very slight bounce like 30 rpm ...but I thnk is from the bpv ........ All my data logs seem fine ...I sent them back to z1 to review and tweak the throttle lag out and the fan tables ...until I can get it on the dyno

What size pulley on the pump are you running?

Jinxx 01-10-2016 08:43 PM

I'm not sure of the size it's a stage 2 and I was told 11lbs .....92mm I think ...I still have to install the boost/afr gauge and verify my boost level

fryzia23 01-10-2016 10:42 PM

11lbs pulley its 88mm. I have that on my stage 1.5. 92mm should be around 9psi I believe

Ya I think you guys are right,8-9lbs is 92mm pulley, that's the size I have I believe.

Bigger pulley means more boost correct me if iam wrong?wonder if they are carrying bigger pulleys. The vq engine can handle 11lbs on stock bottom end as long as you monitor properly.
