Also mine hunted for idle until I pulled the post-cat O2 sensors. Now it idles like a champ.

When you say pulled the rear o2, are you talking about actually unplugging/removing them, or just shutting off the error code?

Thank you all, I'm sure we will get it figured out. The shop owners text last night seemed confident that they know what the problem was, I hope he's correct. Top, good luck on your new adventure. I usually go to Minneapolis once a year for work, I've always enjoyed it in the summer. They sent me one time in the winter, that crap isn't ever happening again!

Top and Evohunter, when we first started the car with the blue spring in the BOV it stayed open at idle, did yours do that? The tuner is remotely tuning the car so looking at the log he said " it's seems like we have a massive boost leak?". When we told him it was open he had us use the other spring so it would stay closed, What does your BOV do at idle? Even with a low idle that thing is moving a lot of air!

You can just unplug them if you want but I completely removed them plugged the bung.

It should be open all the way at idle, make sure they mounted the MAFS the right way, and not backwards. but at idle your car should run on atmospheric pressure, hense the BPV completely opened at idle.

I hope they dumped the Original stillen tune and started from scratch aswell.

They did, we are using ecutech this time.

Evohunter/ top, did you start adjusting the BOV from its softest ( unscrewed) or hardest ( all the way tight)? I think it's the first but looking for as much info as I can get before Monday.

You have to have it wide open at idle. That bypasses all that air or your motor would need to idle with a ton of air being forced into it. It should idle with 17hg of vac.

I watched mine to make sure it slammed shut upon accell. Your line to it will be forcing down on the spring once u hit boost so it equals out the boost it's getting from the charge pipe.

With the blue keep it unscrewed as possible but your still going to get some turkey ****.

JWillis72 11-15-2015 05:05 PM

Thank you both! I couldn't and wouldn't have done this without your help.

I didn't have time to spend at the shop today but I don't think they have figured out the base tune yet. So frustrating.

That sucks. Are you doing the speed density tuning?

JWillis72 11-16-2015 06:57 PM

They are now.
