So then what does the Z1 hardware kit accomplish? Where can I find the cover and bracket. Thank you? Pic of small shelf?

A profit? You can find them at any Nissan dealership. Dig through this thread a bit and youll find pictures and descriptions of everything you need..

Does anyone have some 2015+ Nismo side skirts for sale? Seems like an arm and a leg for the ones on Z1 and the dealer doesn't have them.

Try Fontana Nissan or Bakersfield Nissan. Shipping will get you though. Prices are firm at 900.00. People forget, these are big pieces.

Wow, the Zs on this thread look stunning

Added everything to my Shopping cart over on NissanPartsDeal.com since they have the best prices from what I've seen... clicked to check out and got the message:

"Due to the nature of your order, your payment can only be processed through a Wire Transfer"

Seems a little odd to me. Has anyone else ordered their kits through that site or mainly using Fontana Nissan?

Yeah I cut out where the plastic ones usually went. Figured I had enough mesh so why the hell not

Had a friend shoot the Z this weekend.

My car in autoflex dip:

http://i67.tinypic.com/2mqw5rm.jpg

The paint came out great but the prep work was awful. Very unsatisfied with how it came out but the owner said he will fix it...so we'll see.

Next project: Aftermarket seats!

Jayhovah 05-12-2016 02:07 PM

autoflex looks great! Wish it was as DIY friendly as regular dip....

How much does it cost roughly to do autoflex?

carlitos_370z 05-12-2016 02:15 PM

What were you unsatisfied with, with the Auto Flex job?

If they come from Nissan they are OEM

ShockWave 05-16-2016 01:46 PM

Buying from someone that claim its from Nissan. Is there anyway to know for sure?

cooltoy 05-16-2016 02:31 PM

Duraflex makes a copy.

I would imagine Nissan would stamp a part number somewhere on the inside.

No stamp. Just a sticker

cooltoy 05-16-2016 07:49 PM

Ok. I guess he should look for a sticker. Where is it located?

On mine it was on the top of the cover by the push clips

edliaszenik 05-19-2016 12:04 AM

So for those that have completed this retrofit, does the red accent on the rear bumper need to be painted on or is there a decal that I need to find? The Nissan parts page online lists a red accent stripe but it says it is unavailable for 2015+. I'm assuming this is the red accent tape used on the 2nd generation nismos as my 1st gen does not have this. Thanks in advance!

cooltoy 05-19-2016 08:48 AM

Paint, I believe.

You need a good painter to get these lines properly and give clear directions.

About to do the front end, I currently have a 2016 Sport. I've read this thread over half a dozen times and have a quote from the dealer on all the parts I'll need ( I think), as well as a quote on the DRL's and the mounting bracket from CS.

Can someone confirm that these are all of the parts I'll need to go from '16 sport to '15 nismo front end?

62064-6GAOB PROTECTOR FRONT BUMPER Arch extender LH
62064-6GAOA PROTECTOR FRONT BUMPER arch extender RH
62077-6GAOA MOULDING side insert trim
62076-6GAOA MOULDING side insert trim
62087-6GAOA red insert
62086-6GAOA red insert
62022-6GA2H FASCIA-FRONT BUMPER

I was quoted approx. 900 CAD for all of this from my local dealer.

does all of this sound right? I'll be sure to share pictures before and after the conversion, pearl white!

thanks!

cooltoy 05-23-2016 11:49 AM

All the parts needed are listed in this thread.

I've got a monterey blue 09, can't decide if I want to paint the blades body color, silver grey to match the door handles, or satin black with the rest of the grill. Any opinions? Also buying the kit from Z1. Has anyone actually bought the kit and not just the pieces and found it useful?

I didn't use the fender liner, the bracket (don't know what to) or the bumper protector . Just used the zspeed under tray for more support ! Love it !
