That looks sexual. I'd like a half carbon version of that

cooltoy 04-21-2016 02:38 PM

What do you mean by half carbon version?

too tall 04-21-2016 02:39 PM

The blade in carbon, the support painted white.

cooltoy 04-21-2016 02:42 PM

That's no problem, just leave the top CF, paint the rest.

I am not sure about the holes on the Seibon, I think they also use OEM, but maybe LMBmike can confirm.

///maestro 04-21-2016 02:52 PM

That does look great.

Have any of you swapped in a pre-2015 nismo rear bumper on a pre-2011 non-nismo ?

OptionZero 04-21-2016 03:04 PM

Any straight side shots?

Yes the Seibon NSM uses and or covers any existing holes from the sport wing.

I also did the blade in CF and colour matched the support below.

Wouldn't those be identical?

i'm actually curious how a black support and colored blade would look. Give the illusion that the blade was floating (sorta like GT wings)

if i had $$$ and balls i'd get the Esprit GT wing

You got any plans to fit any DRL into the bumper?

Not anytime soon. I like the black and white contrast right now. Although there are many options out there to make a one-of/custom set, what I have seen from Amazon, Ebay, and theretrofitsource.com look awful. I will wait until the right kind of lights come out.

There is a black one for sale in the classified section, you can paint the bottom part white.

If you can get it for around $700 shipped, it would be a great deal.

Looking good!!
Do you have any close up pics of your FI exhaust? How many inches are the tips tucked into your Nismo bumper?

It is tucked in there pretty good so it needs a longer tip running about 1.5 to 2 inches (maybe more from the top because of the angle. The strange thing is on BeemaaZ car, his FI exhaust hangs out just right. I don't get why. When I had the regular bumper, it stuck out just the right amount.

GordoNx3o9 04-21-2016 10:02 PM

Did BeemaaZ get his FI exhaust used from a Nismo owner? Maybe that exhaust was originally made for the Nismo bumper. FI suggested that I don't modify my exhaust tips length myself if i go with the Nismo bumper route. Instead they prefer me shipping the mufflers back to them to adjust it.

Hello everyone! I have been off this site for a bit now just been busy with stuff in life going on. Anyways, i am back and trying to get caught up. When i left this thread was like 1 or 2 pages and now its so long that i am having trouble finding the exact information i am looking for. Basically i have a 2009 sport touring 370z, i want to find a way to get this bumper on my car along with side skirts and rear. What all is required? Can i order from nissan or is there a better place to order from? Thank you in advanced and sorry i couldn't find searching this thread.

Fortunately, I was hooked up with a employee discount as well from Nissan via a relative, however, I was speaking with the parts dealer at my local dealership and they mentioned that shop/store owners apparently receive some sort of discount... You can try going to a auto body shop and see if they can order the parts for you at a discounted price. Worth a shot, good luck.

Post 734 (PG 49) has a complete list for the front. The skirts will run $900 and the rear bumper will be at $350 plus the tow hook cover that's about $5. Shipping will run you high if you don't have a local dealership. I say ask your local dealer to match Fontana Nissan's price.

lol I know what you want to look at........

"Mind the gap"

Now these are not "my best photos" or even ones I have posted so quality/angle/overall pic so they might not be the best but just trying to help show what you are looking for, that gap/shelf/ledge or lack of it (many people have called it different things, either way transition is not seamless but you don't notice it)......:ugh2:

I think the saving grace is I am fairly low so in order to see the "shelf affect" you need to either be really short or crouch down uncomfortably low.

Car is dirty because it was raining out today. This is right after I finished putting everything on. I still have to get the lower engine splash shield. I have evo-r led lights coming and the rear tow hook cover. I forgot it ordering the other 13 things needed.

Do you feel the rear inner liners are worth the cost? The gap is only a few CM and I didn't feel it warranted the expense.

Car looks good though!

Car is going in for paint tomorrow night, can't wait :happydance:

killrain 04-27-2016 04:06 PM

So hopefully im not asking something that already been stated. I tried looking but didnt find anything. Im curious about putting the older style Nismo rear bumper on my '13. Is it pretty much just bolt on? Also I notice some have the bottom light on the bumper like the stock version. Is that an add on or some come like that? My apologies again if this has been asked. I couldnt find any info!

Delirious did you have to cut out the side vents under the DRL location? I know there's a plastic piece that normally goes in each one, but is it open already with these not installed?

Hey cooltoy, any chance you'd be willing to change the colors on that chop you did to a black cherry with sunburst bronze wheels and bronze accents on the bumper and headlights? Maybe add a ducktail rear spoiler if you're feeling generous? I'd like Z1 to take my money for one of these bumpers immediately.

Been lurking this thread for all the info, and now my 15 Nismo swap is finished including headlight swap. For those that wanted to see it shopped on a Black Cherry, here's a real photo. I'm gonna post more soon when I get good photos. Painted the "blades" Black Cherry and the grill Satin Black. Here's the only photo I have.

Getting close to ordering the full 15+ Nismo kit for my new 2016 sport Z. From what I read in this thread, the inner liners aren't for sure needed. For those who have the kit installed, what do you feel is really needed besides the items listed? Maybe the under tray for the front bumper?

Will the rear bumper bolt up easily on a non-Nismo '14 Z or will I need the hardware kit from Z1? Also is there really a off set due to not having the '15 spoiler?

For the front end, go to post 734 - does not include the DRL's. You need the fender liner plus the gap filler.
+ skirts
+ rear bumper
+ rear tow hook cover

Yes it will fit and bolt up easily. you do not need the hardware kit from Z1. You do need a new bracket for the 3rd brake light and tow hook cover. Yes there is a small shelf where the trunk meets the bumper. Not enough to be a deal breaker for anyone yet I think.
