Anyone know if the 2018 Z35 bumper will be a direct fit on my 2011?:icon17:

cooltoy 07-10-2016 06:37 PM

turns out it didn't work as well as I expected, only the drivers side lights up. The wiring was identical on each side. Anyone else with Carbonsignal DRL have this issue?

It will fit, but you will still have to get the fender liners

I connected the wiring from the Carbonsignal LED directly to the old wiring from the stock LED... am I missing something here?

Cinderblocked, are you on the Zcar Canada club or the Canadian Z car club on Facebook?
There's a lot of us there.

Anyone have a link to the page where the part numbers are located?

I want to replace the front and rear bumpers with the '15+ nismo ones. I have a '13 so I will reuse the stock DRLs

Spaggettio 07-27-2016 08:37 PM

you cant reuse the stock DRL

you need to buy OEM or Carbon Signal KIT or EVO R KIT

Because of fitment issues or what?

cooltoy 07-30-2016 12:20 AM

They are not the same shape or size.

Non-Nismo.

^Are there any aftermarket lights that look exactly like oem, but don't sell for OEM prices? All I can find are the ones like Evo-r, which I do not like. OEM just appears more "classy".

cooltoy 07-30-2016 06:15 PM

Yes, they do look Classier.

I think the Carbonsignal ones look better then EVO-R, because of the five lights instead of four. They look best painted PW on a PW bumper.

Or you can do what ZAtlanta_OG did and find a set with a lens which fit into the opening.

How long is the shipping time to USA from carbon signal ?

So I have got the front bumper front liner and front liner protector from 2015 nismo but my fender is nowhere close to filling the gap above the liner protector. Is it normal?

How did you go about doing this? Really like the oem look.

If you look at the pic close you can see i filled the space round the drl's with black mesh i also reshaped the lenses with sand paper.

Which year did the lights belong too? Maybe a direct link to them?

69 pages of surfing around this curious - curious if anyone is making a DRL COVER...or some type of way to cover the opening, if you're not interested in the DRL's.

Any solutions out there? Tried searching, any help would be appreciated.

cooltoy 08-25-2016 05:34 PM

Not that I have seen. Nothing commercially available.

OptionZero 08-25-2016 06:07 PM

Some people just put mesh

if you wanted to just cover it i'm sure any body shop could just fiberglass it shut, right?

Yes, of course. But I was looking for something like a black piece, or a mesh insert up front flush with the front of the opening. Not a mesh insert across the back of the bumper that still leaves the opening.

Covering it over might be the best option I suppose.

axmea? 08-28-2016 11:16 AM

My suggestion if you want it flushed nicely is to make a mold of the left and right opening with about 1/8 of an inch trimmed off all around and then use the mold to shape your metal mesh with enough room to set it flushed in the front and attached with enough tabs to be siliconed from the back side.
