But the parts and install it😉

Hit up Jon from Z1 it's a direct replacement so no modification needed.

Do it do it!

Does anyone know if there is a harness available to use the OEM dtrl on cars that did not come with dtrl. Im buying a conversion, and I have a 2011 Nismo

The middle/center of the grill air vents that comes from the factory that's black does it need to be painted ? Or can it stay the black it comes with from the factory ? The part where the nismo logo goes and right above the accent pcs ?

SwissCheese 06-20-2016 06:39 PM

So the kit on Z1's website comes with everything needed for install? And is it genuine Nissan parts? I have a 2012 NISMO.

And about how much would a typical paint shop charge to paint it?

Sorry, I tried looking through this thread, but 65 pages is a lot of posts to look through!

OptionZero 06-20-2016 06:55 PM

z1 supplies real nissan stuff. They are reliable.

Paint . . . gonna depend on shops in your area, i'd call local businesses to see what they can do. DO NOT cheap out on paint, never a good idea to have to do it twice

Did the front and rear bumpers on my sport. Didn't like the way it looked without the DRL's, so just forked over the money and bought them. Also ended up paint matching those bottom fang things.

Got mine in just over a week and I'm in Canada

High Octane 06-24-2016 07:13 PM

For those that did the rear bumper too, what are you doing for the exhaust since it sits a few inches under the bumper? Just getting an exhaust that fits the Nismo or doing something custom?

cooltoy 06-24-2016 08:53 PM

Any muffler shop can extend your tips for a relatively small charge.

nvdave04 07-02-2016 06:37 PM

Would the 2013 DRL stock lights plug into the EVO R DRL ?

nvdave04 07-02-2016 06:50 PM

Also has anyone did anything creative for nismo logo ? I was thinking about doing something differnt ?

I'm still using the base model undertray. It seems to only connect at 2 points to the lower front bumper with bolts.

Are you asking about it being plug and play? If so, the answer is no. But I'm sure you can get the power and ground source from the drl.

Finished the front end last night. Shaved badge, Carbonsignal DRL, gloss black blades and pearl white for the rest. It's pouring here in Nova Scotia but I'll take some good shots once it's sunny!

How did you wire the DRL?

cut the original wires to the stock DRL, wired all of the CS DRL together, mounted the bumper, then wired the stock wires to the new DRL. I'm sure there are better options to those better at wiring but.. it worked!

Spaggettio 07-09-2016 06:12 AM

Yea nice man I wanted mine to work with headlights so I told the auto elect to wire it to the spare slot in the ipdm.
