please explain, the manual states...."if your car is equipped" but when you read the different configurations on each package is never mentioned, so how can I demand it unless it was omitted from a touring/ bose /navi or sports package..

He's joking. In some markets, it actually lights up. In the US where it's not mandated, it's just a red plastic piece. If you want, you can buy the JDM light (Japanese Domestic Market) and install it yourself.

You can also just order the parts from a Canadian dealer.... turn stalk switch and fog light are on every Canadian Z.
