rear fog light (between the exhausts)

I'm not getting it, my car has fog lights and the manual reads that the red light between the rear exhaust is a rear fog light. How do I know if mine is equipped with this feature o is just a dummy red cap that covers an opening for those with this feature...thanks
(2013 Touring, navi, Bose, sports package)

It's a dummy, you bought it in America

Don't listen to DE.50 Take it in to the dealer and ask for your JDM foglight that you paid for.

please explain, the manual states...."if your car is equipped" but when you read the different configurations on each package is never mentioned, so how can I demand it unless it was omitted from a touring/ bose /navi or sports package..

He's joking. In some markets, it actually lights up. In the US where it's not mandated, it's just a red plastic piece. If you want, you can buy the JDM light (Japanese Domestic Market) and install it yourself.

Those are your day time running lights. As others have stated the chance of you having factory rear fogs is zero to none.

As stated I was just ribbing you. Outside the American market there is a requirement for vehicles to have a REAR fog light. Since the Z is a global platform they mass produce the bumper and those slotted to come to America get a dummy light cover whilst foriegn models will come equipped with a functional rear fog light.

As stated, those are DRLs. You can't control them and they don't work as fog lights. The switch for the rear fog light, if you had one, would be on the turn signal stalk. When the rear fog light is installed aftermarket, most people install and wire them to a switch in between the two seat heater switches. That's normally for the convertible top. (You don't have one of those either, no matter what the dealer told you).

Just buy a JDM one as people have suggested and hook it up as another brake light. That's what I did, it's safer and looks cooler!
