Every used Gen 3 I've seen for sale has a solid black line along the filters. It's on the exact back side facing the radiator. its about and inch thick. My custom cai has it too. It tells me that's where all the air is coming from and into the filters. If you left those there it looks like they will keep massive amounts of dirt, bugs, etc off the filters. K&N already isn't a great "filterer" so... __________________ 13 370z-
