Default VIS Carbon Hood Fitment and Quality Issues?

So I order this VIS Vented Carbon Hood from Andy's Motorsports and after 3 weeks it finally came in today. Before taking it out of the box I notice a Ding in the hood and after placing it on the car the fitment was horrible. Huge gaps from one side to the other and one side is higher than the other. This is not what I would expect from VIS. So I call Andy's Motorsports and explain to them the issues with the hood and the guy chuckles and tells me that 8 out of 10 have issues. At that point I'am like wtf, that info would have been helpful before ordering.. He then proceeds to tell me that the Varis Carbon Hoods are a lot better but cost a lot more. Kinda pissed that I wasn't told this before ordering but the guy from Andy's did offer a discount of $130 Anyone else have Fitment issues with VIS ?

Oh he'll no! I would tell them to send you a hood that fits and ding free, or a refund....

they will probably blame the ding on shipping.... hope it was shipped with insurance. also, ive never had any issues with seibon, so if you do return it, and dont want to spend varis money, id look into seibon. good luck ma'am

Tomorrow Iam planning on calling them back to see what other options they are willing to offer since they are well aware of many other people having the same issues with the VIS Carbon Hoods... Keep your fingers crossed they will offer a full refund since this isn't my fault and it shouldn't cost me anything for that reason. Will keep you posted and thanks for the input..

My vis hood is perfect, is Andy's Motorsport similar to Andy's autosport? Because I always heard super negative things about them.

if i recall.. VIS used to be good many many years back untill they went with cheaper quality and everything started going down hill from there.. started having tons of complaints about the hood bubbling up, turning yellow, and horrible fitment.. after that.. most people start going for seibon which is alot better from what i can see when i had one comparing it to my friend's VIS hood couple years back.. hope u can get your refund back

The only carbon hoods I would recommend are Varis or Amuse. Fitment, quality, finish, everything is spot on and flawless. Then again I might be a little biased.
