I've seen some vinyl overlays for tinting headlights and taillights, yet no one really talks about em much... Do they blow or something?

I had overlays for my 350z. Just in case if I get pulled over I can say some excuse and take them off. Put I didn't like them do to the fact up close it look poor. And it also took away all my braking light every time I break.
I don't recommend using them.

Sorry I know im an *** for making you all wait. Ive been trying to get some good pics of the tint this weekend but taking the pics outside in the sun with my camera phone is difficult to actually see the tint. It doesnt show much in the pic. Im trying to mess with the brightness or contrast to see if it will actually show the way it looks in person.

This is how it looks with my camera. It fails to show you how dark it actually looks... my recommendation is get the ones with color. As the other member posted he will get blue for his black Z. I think the color will be more noticable than the tint. As far as best describing how the black tint looks... it makes the Z's headlights look like a gunmetal grey. The tint isnt really that dark if your trying to compare it to spray tint (VHT) which is obviously more darker (and permanent) than this product.

On a side note... my headlights had a couple of nix and scratches since my work commute is long. I did notice that in those areas the Eurolight made little dots and seeped into the minor scratches. Also, make sure u let it dry in a place where bugs wont be attracted and get stuck on the headlight while it dries lol.

Yeah, before & after would've been nice (given the overcast lighting which would make stuff look a little darker), but kudos for being the first here to do it. Did you tape off the lights, or did you just put it on the car as-is and try to stay within the lines? If they claim that it won't adhere to other surfaces, I suppose the latter is fine...

thanks

Only 1 review on Amazon among the six different products available (same product, different colors)... I find it hard to believe that no one has used this product yet, but I find it just as hard to believe that if it sucked, people wouldn't be all over the review boards saying so.

It does say it's easily removable with another chemical... would be sweet to put a different color on every few months. I might take the plunge - or maybe I'll buy it and do it on a friend's crappier car first.

Would also be interesting to tape off parts of the light to get tinted eyebrows or something - not sure if the color diff would be dramatic enough though.

Edit: Hmm, what about putting on the windows too, a la the Benz-blue look? Says it works on glass... eh, this seems way to easy and cool to be true.

As soon as I get them I'm going to try it out on my 2001 gsxr 600.
If I'll looks good I'll apply it on my z. And I'll post pics no matter how it looks.

The black tint isnt dark enough IMO to even make a really noticable effect on the tailights. It is a very light tint. It is more obvious on the headlights since the headlight unit is chrome.

Here is a front view of the lights where you can notice them tinted.

Thx for posting, but it's really hard to notice the difference from stock w/o a before pic for comparison. Maybe that's the beauty of it though...

Did you try putting on a second coat? Or does it just wash out if you try to add another layer?

Also, did you try to remove it yet? Supposedly just as easy to remove as it is to put on...

I might try the light blue on my silver car... if I do it, I'll be sure to post details.

Hate to bring this thread back from the dead, but has anyone else tried this stuff? I ordered a kit of the black tint. For the price and the fact that it's removable, I thought I would try it.

I will do some before and after photos.......
