Pay more for the real one, but less on body work, came out the same amount of money in the end
each part fits differently on each car. Even the original, doesnt fit well and needs fitment adjustment. Today I had issues with the seibon hood being installed. In all Honesty each car is somewhat different, the mold after a while changes the final product. Sometimes a 2000 kit might fit better than a 5k kit. But it can go both ways. I have seen it before.

+1. Happened to a friend's Chargespeed kit for 350Z. Authentic stuff, but one of the side skirt was molded wayyyyyy off.

I'm a noob.. so.. sorry if this sounds stupid. what i dont understand is how a replica kit that goes for 2k + installation + paint... can in the end add up to a 5k kit + installation + and paint... is it really that much more of a pita to install? where one would get slammed with an extra 2500 in installation fees... and by the way... how much is the average installation of these things anyway?

Installation SHOULDN'T be anywhere near $2500. Read post #12 again, there's lots of steps done, that was not necessary at all.

Yes that is correct. It will be no where near that much to install/paint. I just wanted mine to be 100% perfect and have an OEM feel. The quality of the work speaks for itself.
