This is similar to style how the headlight mods are done, u send them in and return time of 2 weeks. The cool part. You can still drive your car, just like I did. Missing door inserts, armrest, speedo plastic, engine cover and door stills. It still had music and everything worked perfect. Eye soar for 2 weeks but your not grounded.

Carbon fiber wrapping and fiberglass allows use to keep cost down. Molds take lots an lots of time and money. If we were replacing let's say an entire door panel, then a mold would be decided on. But most of the pieces, wrapping over mold copies, save all parties money. The fitment isn't off and yes there's a lay of new material but it's not 3 inches thick nor that the size reject it.
