Here is a Escort 8500 mounted in a weather proof box mounted under the front. I ran a 4 conductor phone wire for power and the beeper. Comes on with the ignition and there is a switch within reach to turn off the beeper. The red box is a Hammond and selected clear red so that the Laser sensor will still work. I am going to get a smaller box to make it a little lower profile. But it works good and nothing on the dash.
