Default Hardwire Radar Detector

Not sure if this is the right location for this question, but we'll see.

I'm trying to hardwire my radar detector. I was planning on following the install instructions from Courtesy Nissan for the Homelink Rearview Mirror (link below). I think the switch wire I need to tap for radar power is the green "ignition wire" but I wanted to make sure that it isn't the red/white "battery wire." I believe the battery wire will cause the power to stay on the entire time.

Can anyone confirm or deny? I know there is a DIY to wire it to the power outlet on the passenger side, but I would prefer to run the wire to the drivers side.

Any help is appreciated.

zero610,
The wiring for the mirror is now:

black/red - switched power
yellow - always on power
black - ground.

Installed my radar detector and it works like a champ. Very clean install.

I will post more pics tomorrow.

Good luck with your install.

I'm a little confused now. I don't already have a Homelink mirror. I was just using the install instructions from Courtesy Parts to find the correct power wire.

Are you saying that the switched power wire I need to tap from the white connector block at the drivers side footwell is now black/red? Thanks.

I used switched. Turns on and off with the ignition.

Sorry for the confusion, I thought you was trying to hook into the mirror's wiring. I can not vouch for that wiring but I do know the wiring on the mirror for the 350 is different colors than the wiring for the 370. They had a wiring instruct for the 07 350Z with the invisicord that matched what you posted. I found the wiring to be the same as what they listed for the 08 Altima.
