What's the point?

Three lbs of weight savings is laughable, and they're ugly

*edit* So my original post here was based on the thought that both panels saved 3 lbs total, which I felt was

I'm guessing the original post was 3 lbs per side ... and now the update to 8 lbs is a total of 4 lbs per side?
Or maybe it was 3 lbs total before and now updated to 8 lbs total?

Looking forward to seeing the finished product. As cv said, maybe a colored finish will hide the switch box. Seems kinda dumb to put a speaker in it if doing the mod for weight savings but whatever. To each their own. Didn't mean to sound so harsh
