If your foot slipped off of the clutch, it would stall instantly. I call BS, but that's just me. Unless of course you have a 4000 rpm idle speed.
In case you've never done it before, idling in 1st gear only gets you to about 4 mph. I don't consider that "flying".

Lemon tree is less than 2 feet away from the car. Also, it was pretty cold this morning around 5 am. When it’s cold the idle bumps up to about 2.2k for just a second. At that same moment that the idle bumped up, I let go of the clutch thinking I put it into neutral. Stupid mistake from my end, guess I was still asleep lol
