I apologize for that. I was the one that mentioned splicing but I got mixed up with the Maxima sill plates. Those require splicing on top of running wiring.

Good luck with your install.I think they look great at night.You should be able to install in half an hour.I think you will really like them.Also good how to on forum on changing your light color if this is of interest to you.Not about instal but Pic of CF with red light.
