Uh...how about using the oil, filter, and drain intervals that are recommended by the engine manufacturer?

So you're saying that our engines suck so bad that they need oil twice as often as a Ford? Wow...I'm selling today. What pieces of crap car we all have.

They recommend on standard oil 3750 miles for SEVERE conditions. 7500 miles for NORMAL. And once you put in synthetic all number bets are off.
