I do have a very slight low pitched noise in my system. My brother played with some stuff while I held it at 1500rpms (the noise is the most obvious there) and we came up with the decision that it was just the noise of the oil flowing through the cooler. It also may be a vibration in the cooler carrying on to the front support that it's mounted to. Waiting for a sunny day so I can get down and look a little better. Has anyone else experienced this? There are no leaks, no rattles, and my temps are quite low compared to before (probably 25-30degs.) It's a sound I can put up with for sure, just wondering.

That is the noise we are discussing. To the normal person, who does know their 370Z. They may not notice it. But owners who have logged alot of mileage and know the noises of their cars will be able to pick it out as a *new* noise.

Oh I noticed it immediately. Reminded me of a power steering whine. Threw it in neutral, gassed it to 1500 and turned the wheel.. no difference. Not power steering.

Seems to vary with RPM but not directly, so oil flow would make sense. My brother said that tugging on the oil hose made it vary just a little so that was our thought. I watch my temps, check for leaks, and just drive as normal. No big really.

To try and keep noise down on previous cars and equipment I tried to keep the lines as snug as possible with only allowing minimum line movement. It will help to prevent noise and chaffing of the lines and surrounding components. I used a lot of Nomex/kevlar string and tape, and many small cushion clamps in these cases.
